I'm asking God to make me the woman that I need to be for my husband, If it take for me to be purged then God's will be done. My 24 year old daughter who's black has been dating black men, she complained of being disrespected by these men. My daughter is very ambitious, she continued to working full time while going to nursing school full time, the men she dated couldn't hold a job to help her out. She met a white white guy who was 22 years old. I'm not racist but I was against the relationship because he was so young and also I worried about the struggles that they would have as a biracial couple. She explained to me that this is the first man that she has dated who treats her the way my husband treats me, like a princess. He helped her financially and encouraged her to quit her job so that she could focus on school, it's been 2 years she's now a RN and they're engaged. Sometimes biases can be our obstacles to happiness. SOME black men don't treat black women well, I believe that the way that black men treat black women set the standards for the rest of the world in regards to respect.

I just spoke with my wife about this last night after I got home from work. There are a lot of amazing black women out here who get overlooked by African-American men, especially those who are in prominent positions, and it does hurt/bother me. Yes, I know that there isn't a rule in place that says,"You only marry within your race." However, I believe that their is a negative and unfair stigma that has been placed on African-American women both intentionally and unintentionally. I was walking through the airport a couple of days ago and just happened to stop and look at a magazine. It had three African-American female rap artist on the cover. It hurt my heart to see how they market our black women. Our women are smart, purpose driven, and have vision. But when I see half naked black women dressed in S and M gear on the cover of this magazine, I believe it is a negative reflection of the Black woman. Why can't they be dressed in beautiful gowns, or business suits? They were looking like they should have been in the Village People video or something. We have to stop this lie and negative marketing of our African-American women. Our black women are classy, not trashy, and they should be presented, to the world, as such. But we have to STOP accepting the negative and hurtful imagery that is placed on us.

I'm hurting and I know I need Jesus. I've been single and celibate for going on 4 years. I've was called and added to the body of Christ on the 13th of April 2014. My ex said I wasn't the same woman he fell in love with. I started dressing more conservative, speaking differently and I didn't want to listen to rap or r&b. I also stop having sex with him and asked him to wait till we were married. We were being counciled by our pastor and then we were to be married. I prayed that God will show me if he was the one. Well within a weeks time I found out when I left town he brought another woman in our home and shared our bed. He cheated and I wasn't worth waiting on. He started speaking disrespectfully calling me a Bible thumper. I broke it off and put him out of my apartment. I know I did the right thing, but it still broke my heart and the devil used that to separate me from God. I allowed him back in my life and he continued to hurt me for another year or more. I admit I had chosen him over God, because I was doing what he wanted, not what this says the Lord. I've been since trying to build the relationship I had with God/Christ since then. I still don't have the fire I had in the beginning of accepting Christ. I want it back and now I don't date or even entertain conversation with men. I've decided to stay single and work on building myself and my relationship with God. Men call me cold hearted and bitter, oh well. I'm trying to make Heaven my home. I pray that God will send me a man on fire for him and then I would know he knew how to lead me and love me. Until then I'm going to remain single and celibate. I admit I had a problem submitting to a man, but that's because most men I dated was in and of the world. I will happily submit to a Godly man. Most men only want sex. When they're persistent and I return my persistence on pleasing God they normally lose interest and flee. Thank God. Pray for my walk/run with God.

I had people tell me divorce him & I said that is not what God wants that I knew he would come to know Him. And he did. Our we perfect? Only through Christ! About friends comment, if they're not Christians my question to you is what does darkness have to do with light? How can you be friends with darkness? How can you have fellowship? I must say Black women are very vocal and straightforward but then the bible speaks about the tongue is the hardest part of the body to tame. *James 3:8* Throughout Proverbs it talks about the women not just a Black one, ALL women can be quarrelsome and nagging. Being a Black women myself I find that some not all Black man have a problem with Black women who have established themselves in life and instead of showing appreciation and being proud of achievement they find it challenging. Especially in today's society whereas the women have excelled tremendously mentally (being educated), economically (Entrepreneurs), and Spiritually ( Knowing who they are in Christ). The bible says a man that findeth a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. This man has to be of good value loving his wife as Christ loves the church and the women don't necessarily have to obtain the qualities stated above but must meet the criteria of a Proverbs 31 women in order to fulfill the need of a good wife that's favorable to her husband. I was actually thinking about some of these things, not to long ago. I remember you use to do videos on different topics for men and women... and here you do another video. It is definitely true that when you would post about men... women would say amen, and all of that. But when you you post about women... a lot would get in their feelings... and dismiss what you were saying. The truth is that all of us have flaws. Men, women. Black, white, Hispanic, Asian... ECT. We all have work to do on ourselves. We all need improvement... and none of us are above correction. Man or woman can't "fix" each other. Only Jesus can do that. Jesus heals, saves, restores... Great commentary Marcus..I am a SBF over 50 and at this point I've decided I'm good. I am so happy for black men and white women finding each other. My prayer is that they are truly finding love. Because it never fails. Marriage wasn't my destination for this life. I've done a lot of dumb things, allowed the wrong people in, and well, enough is enough. I have no desire to date other races, and in America We know that's not routinely a real option for a black women here. But I have found a great contentment in my singleness. Not dealing with any deceivers. There are way more of them than Christian or even moral men preying on women today. Oh I know there are good men out there, and be encouraged men, God bless you, but when I look around and see so many young, beautiful, successful, sisters alone I realize there are not enough of the quality of men we need to go around. I always knew if women ever began to devalue themselves and do it like men, cold hearted and straight wicked that the world would be in trouble. Well, we are here, but women I I encourage you to be moral examples for your daughters and sons Let's pray for healing and a turn around for our seed.
I didn't see the post you're speaking on. It would be safe if people just kept it honest. You don't owe an explanation as to why you date what you like, that's your business. You cannot control what someone else likes. The problem is, when people date what they like, in an effort to belittle a person they reject. Honest love should be the foundation of your choice. Enjoy your choice, be happy and keep your explanation to yourself. Your life is for you to live, so be honest in your choices for yourself only.

Trauma plays itself out in many ways. When it goes unchecked, it becomes a part of the devil's plan, to hate your own image and likeness. Many black men and women need to seek forgiveness, healing, and understanding with their mothers, fathers, and past relationships. Christ, who is the only one to judge, choose not to on many occasions. Preference is one thing. But to publicly declare that you dislike women or men of your own race, for whatever reason, is to declare the disdain that you will pass down to your offspring (who will look like the target of your disgust). Choose Christ, the light of the world, and be more than a conqueror over silly subjects and frivolous beliefs meant to keep you in darkness.
My child's father told me in my face that the white woman he was dating was better than me but that relationship didn't last long only a year now he's back lonely again for throwing that lady in my face each time he get to brag apparently you wasn't good enough for her since I wasn't good enough for him 😂😂😂 I guess the grass wasn't greener on the other side that was a lesson to be learned! Great video my G. We could all stand to do better. Most of us, men and women, got life so twisted so early that only God can straighten us out but we must take it upon ourselves to submit to Him. Looking for pity and finding offense in every video and online post just further speaks to this issue. You are right on point Sir, thanks for that HUNK of truth.
It is a problem but I think alot of is is perception.Many women don't realize men deal situations differently.Women often see the strength in men and sometimes overlook situations they deal with especially as a Black men.
@Love Always , Until we all get a revelation of how much God loves us this foolishness will always be an issue. How can someone love you and don't know God loves them? His love is extravagant!
@Love Always I agree we can have the same experiences as men but they have it a little worst. They get tested way more in the society we live in but that is why black women can relate to black men.
