(BIG SPOILERS for the end of In Stars And Time!)
This was the real climax of the game, and the music in the scene definitely reflected that. I love this track, great use of the leitmotifs, and probably the most complex drums I've ever done. I have tried to keep my other iSaT cover's visuals fairly spoiler free, but with this one I felt I just had to go full spoilers because the scene is so cool, and blurring it wouldn't even hide the spoilers, so I just put a spoiler warning at the start, and made the thumbnail spoiler free. For the last 2 covers I've made, I've used the same format for the visuals: circle of art with a visualizer on the outside, surrounded by blurred gameplay. Since this scene has the concentric red circles on the ground, I thought it would be cool to just put the visualizer on one of the circles, integrating it into the scene.
I'm not sure what iSaT track to cover next, since I've now done the main 3 I wanted to cover. Maybe the secret boss? I might upload a non-iSaT cover before that. I am also very busy for the next few months, so I might end up needing to stop this 1 upload a week cadence I've been doing so far. Subscribe if you want to know when I upload next!

I feel like this theme is such a good encapsulation of the panic for when everything all at once is just going horribly wrong You’re filled with grief for your past, your mental health is just going in a constant downward spiral, your friends just found out what a monster you are, and you can’t do anything but hurt them or yourself. it’s such a powerful part of the game and I love how it’s able to invoke so many emotions

hell yeah, another absolute banger! this song probably has the most leitmotifs per minute of any song on the OST so it's really impressive that you got everything! if you're open to suggestions for what ISaT song to cover next, i'd love to hear "Get Ready, Everyone!" and/or the secret boss theme :-)

Phenomenal job, this is my favorite game lately so I love to see this! The red circle fits really well here too. Also, how do you do covers of tracks? I'm just getting into music making and don't know where to start. How do you know the notes and BPM and things like that? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work, I'm excited to see what else you do! :)

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I make my covers in FL Studio, I get the BPM by using FL's tap feature (although you can also just google something like "tempo tap" and you should be able to find a website to do it), and I just transcribe the notes by ear. I use FL Studio's built in "3x Osc" VST for most of the sounds you hear, with the rest (like the drums) being "magical8bitplug". That being said, don't worry about having to use FL, there's plenty of alternatives that work just as well if not better. If you're only interested in making 8 bit music that's accurate to real hardware (with it's limitations like how many channels you can use), you might actually be better off using a proper chiptune tracker, although I've never used any so can't give much advice on the specifics. I've been using FL for years (only started uploading them recently though), so I've just had a lot of practice, so my main advice it just to start making music and you'll improve slowly. I only know a little bit of music theory, so don't worry *too* much about that if you're just making covers, although it's always a good idea to learn some of the basics.

@@EzioEagle21 Wow thanks so much! I actually do have FL studio, but I haven’t messed around with it too much because it seems complicated lol. I’ve only made one track so far, and I only know some music theory as well, so I’ve got a long way to go. I keep hearing from people that they just know all of the sounds by ear, which is so wild to me, but I guess I gotta try it. But thank you for the specifics, I’ll check them out!

thanks, glad you liked it! yeah i might cover it at some point, but i'll probably do one of the other bigger tracks i haven't covered yet first (maybe king's battle theme or "game over (don't leave me alone here)"? idk, i haven't started them yet, depends on if they turn out well lol). my next 2 or 3 covers won't be iSaT, but i definitely do want to return to it soon

I changed my mind since it probably makes more sense to spread out the more hype battle themes with the rest, rather than do all the battle themes now, and then be left with only the other tracks after, so my Dormont cover is out now :)
