0:24 The door just slammed wide open like ”We smell dramaaaaa!” I love how they’re teasing her relentlessly everywhere she goes because they know that she knows that they know and at this point they just wanna poke the bear with a stick until she explodes at them! (I also love the detail when they tell Luz to take care of Amity, because it shows that they are actually supportive of her)

I really didn't realize how much I needed this in my life until now. Edric and Emira simultaneously teasing her and yet trying to help admit her feelings her is probably the most accurate depiction of a sibling relationship I've ever seen

AHHH AND THIS TAKE OF EDRIC AND EMIRA BEING THE MUSES AND DOING THE TEASING??? it must hurt having that big of a brain, dude..... the way you drew their interactions with amity and luz was. hilarious and perfect, and I especially loved the little comments you put sfdgklj my spacebar is broken because of how many times I died while reading them lol. but seriously though, your art style is so cute, your environments and lighting were on point, and the narrative you executed was done so well!! when "cry your heart out" came on and you cut to the ominous silhouettes of amity's parents though...……….. I wont forgive you for how unexpectedly DEPRESSED that made me, so. much thanks!!! emira casting illusion spells of luz to overwhelm amity? actual genius. honestly you should be so proud of this, it slaps to god and back
I love how people seem to be shipping Lumity SPECIFICALLY to the tune of Disney Songs - which, like Owl House, are property of Disney. Songs which, from a purely legal stand point, theoretically COULD be used for the actual show. So it almost feels like fan theories rather than fan fiction lol.
What's the lesson here: If you want a musical The Owl House episode with an Amity song about her feelings for Luz, get Alan Menken and David Zippel to write it. EDIT: Sadly, is very likely it won't happen, since creator Dana Terrace dislikes musicals (yes, somebody who works at DISNEY dosen't like musicals), but maybe there's still a way a song about Amity's feeling for Luz can appear.
this is SO creative in so many ways i loved how edric and emira teased her with the illusion. saw this from a twitter retweet im 1000% retweeting as well because this is beautiful and ur art deserves soooo much more attention
And now, me imagining the twins setting up Amity's secret spot with a ton of romance books and then sending him there to discover them, with a note saying she likes Luz, just a setup to tell Luz Amity loves her.
This is absolutely amazing and adorable. I love having Edric and Emira as the ones to play the role of the Muses, great work on your part, and I like how they switch from just teasing to genuine support as the song ends. But I think the crown jewel of this song would be 1:12-When she consider's her parents and how they factor into this situation. One of the major obstacles to Amity pursuing her feelings for Luz is her very realistic fear that Mr and Mrs Blight will react poorly to such a relationship and will take drastic steps to prevent it. A repeat of the "Willow Incident," only worse, because of the kind of relationship and the person involved.
At first, I took it as fear of their relationship failing and becoming loveless like her parents' marriage. Our conception of relationships tend to be informed by our parents and Amity's parents, well...
This is so perfectly in character for the twins that I’m surprised this is the first one of the animatics using this song to utilize them in the back up singers role. This is probably my favorite of them as well, good job!!

I hope in season two we get more character depth to amity. I mean, she’s great but her development changed quickly from enemy to lover. Disney took no time in that. Which is fine but we don’t know that much about her except that she likes luz and is awkward abt it in her actions. We know abt her family matters but I’d like to see more abt her. The secret hideout in the library is an amazing thing to utilize in developing her further and I hope we get that. As well as lumity completely together! 🙂

It sounds fun at first, but having siblings who do this, must be definitely annoying. Amity going through her day, minding her own business and they start being her backstage singers from second to the next.
Okay I have seen other versions of this done but this hands down is the best one in my opinion. The art itself flows nicely and having Amity’s siblings as the muses makes sense as both to “help” her and teasing at the same time. Plus the use of their magic to get the emotions right and even ending with Amity hangin our with Luz is just a perfect ending. 11/10 my friend; well done.
