The Patrick Chapin video reference 😎 I like being proactive more than reactive in every card game because even if you have the answers in your deck, you may not draw them. Also, I am a believer that people thought they were prepared for Chaos but truly weren't. Love discussions around things like this. Congratulations, see you in a couple months

Funnily enough - EU from what I saw absolutely was not prepared to deal with chaos and sure enough, Chaos won the whole event. Game theory has always fascinated me ever since I started taking them more seriously. Thanks for linking the video haha. See you in Japan. :)

Grats! I love Anima as a card. I play it in the flan-mono ice control deck at locals and if I ever resolved Anima I'd probably just win. Would Byblos be too slow for your I/L deck?

Byblos was considered but ultimately - I didn’t have an issue locking forwards down, he’s the wrong element (I really wanted one more Lightning card) and I was really worried about people playing of the top of the deck and wanted better ways to punish that ultimately.
