The 5 components of perfect technical play translated from N3sh: 1. Know the format 2. Play your opponents deck 3. Know what your opponent's deck is doing to beat your deck 4. Know how to deny your opponent's winning strategy, cumulatively, over the course of a game 5. Know your own deck inside and out
I got a win at my locals against Yamato with Lakers Croc by bluffing with 1 card in hand (1k counter) and 1 don active. I had countered out of every attack until he just had his blocker Momo up and he decided not to swing with it, just out of fear I could counter out 🙏🙏🙏
IM SOOO HAPPY YOU MENTIONED BODY LANGUAGE. This past weekend I asked my friends if they would catch their opponents taking deep sighs or adjusting in their seat, or dropping their shoulders when they drew something bad from life or their hand. I thought I was crazy trying to pay attention to that
Bro the straight face poker face is so real I’m a yugioh player who just started one piece and I think I’ve won legit 3 tournaments by staring my opponents down when I knew I lost already and it led to them not closing the game and misplaying, it’s so crazy how it works
Dont take this the wrong way, but some simple editing would benefit videos like this alot. "Whats it called" was probably said more than "sakazuki" lol
It’s kinda hard not to take that the wrong way. These types of videos are pretty difficult to make and articulating it in a way that’s easy for most people to understand is pretty difficult as well. I could just gatekeep all this information on patreon and be paid a lot more to give you guys this info but I put it on RU-vid to give you guys the information. Information like this is usually pretty hard to come by from players that know the game very well. I make like 7$ from videos so it’s not like I can really afford to hire a full time editor. And sometimes I need to do other things with my time and it’s an opportunity cost thing
@@heartpiratestcgthats showbiz baby Lol on the real though, i meant that comment as constructive criticism and you took it to heart. I like this channels concept, but the quality simply isnt there for single take videos. Viewer retention is likely the most important analytic and at least for me personally, i found it hard to watch through to the end, although I did because the concept for the video is great. I use the word simple as strategically as i would use a 5c sabo to counter lol just cutting out the umms and ahhs, i imagine would help retention. Anyways the defensive hostility gave me a nice chuckle, thanks! Ps. So did the patreon comment lol Pss. Thanks for coming to my ted talk
@@brutishlamb Its not really me being salty im just being real. Like I legit dont have the time to advance edit all these videos. And I am doing a nice thing where I dont gatekeep the information. I do my best to make the videos good but I cant go overboard and spend hours on every video when I have other stuff to do on top of the financial incentive not being there either.
I played a Saka matchup a couple of weeks ago, i had 4 Morias by turn 2 going first and i had to discard 1 to look for plays. The guy instantly slammed Pudding on turn 2. He was dead sure i had at least 2 more Morias in hand and he Pudding'd me when i was at 5 cards. I lost :D
I've been feeling rlly unlucky lately, I play against quite a bit of Yellow players around my locals and it always seems like they have the most broken openings/triggers. I try to analyze my moves after the games and it just seems like I couldn't have really done anything different. Like I try to keep them at two Life while setting up bodies to go for game (playing Moria) and it just seems like those two life are always Beige and Amaru or YTOWSD. Not counting the fact that up to this point their curve has played out perfectly 9/10 times so they've had Pero/Gedatsu/7Lin/7Lin/10Lin or in the case of Enel (which obv I have a better matchup against because of Perona and the fact they don't get to play 10Lin and often they play Rush Enel so all I have to contend with is if they have Katakuri or Yamato which only heal by that point. Trying hard not to get discouraged and look at my own play instead of situational things, maybe it's because I don't get in as many games as you guys? I don't really test on the Sim I play mostly at locals or at Dennys with the guys so maybe Im not able to get a really good picture of the percentiles.
Even if you’re the best player in the world sometimes you lose or get unlucky. Sometimes you play a deck not optimal to the local scene you play at. There’s a lot of fun and winning to be had in this game depending on a lot of factors
@@heartpiratestcg true that, in any case I appreciate it. Also appreciate the amount of work youve put in to help people do better, and I hope you see even more success in the future my guy.
hey we meet today waiting in line for regionals i was number 6,, i lost track of you towards the end of the day i wound up going 5-3 getting 119, how did you do?? also them jags need some help.
@@heartpiratestcg dang im sorry man i wish you the best at ur next event, the lack of sleep got to me towards the end making dumb mistakes. What locals do you go to cause i might make the drive.
They are getting (finally after 8 sets…) anevent searcher for big mom and animal kingdom pirates…so you are actually able to search for onigashima. Theres an additional 3 don event that allows you to ramp an active don and even 2 when your opponent has a 6k body. Its gonna be a sleeper trust me on that one…boardwipe kaido is disgusting in a meta where all the decks that run 8c gecko just spam their board. :D
