idk how someone could say he looked like hes just going through the motions here. the last months of his life seemed to have his most passionate performances
He ? Damn folks, Blind Melon are one of the most group orientated acts of the nineties, and all you do is constantly looking at Shannon. YEAH, he's amazing, but so is Rogers, Christorpher, Glenn and Brad. Blind Melon only worked in the original line up, if not Shannon, but any other of them dropped out, it wouldn't be the same, as well.
I went to this show. I didn't want to go because I couldn't get an acid. I'm so glad I did tho. It's a stupid story but it was part of the 90's. Mosh pits at every show. So here I am at the Metro, actually back then the Cabere' Metro, and I walk in and see all these video cameras. 'Oh they're recording?" They were, and they did, but the dvd wasn't released until after 2000 go figure. Anyway. Stevie Wonder is on the speakers as we wait. The crowd dances.. The show starts. Shannon comes out with eye liner on and everyone thinks he's fucked up and those are circles under his eyes. The first song goes by. The 2nd song is jamming and my buddy pushes me from behind and I move forward and that is how the mosh pit started. So proud of that stupid moment.
This song is the reason I came to love him ,all of them!Leave me be they keep watching me! I can't say enough about Shannon! He has kept me sober 9months clean today If he only knew but I think he probably knows in some way !you are truley missed & deeply remembered daily!
One of the best bands of the 90s Its sad that Hoon died right as they were on the verge of a new sound nico was a very different album from self titled and soup And imo the songwriting was getting better and the band tighter Its a bummer he didn't make it through
At this point the whole band looks Exhausted!!! Sure Shannon and his Addiction took a toll on all of the band!! I'm sure they all partied hard , but Shannon unfortunately had lost control!! Tragic End of a Amazing Gifted Musicians life!!! LOVE you guys!!!
@@michaelpal5807 You should check Shannon's documentary "All I can say". It will give you more perspective of what you said. Not that your comment isn't true, but, because you're right.
I was about 10, I remember waiting for the hot 9 at 9 on the radio stations so I could record "No Rain". That tape hardly ever left my walkman and I still listen to Blind Melon on a daily basis and havn't gotten sick of it yet. I'm glad they are underrated I can bump it all the time without playing it all the time.
whats so sad about this, is you can see his progression over the years, when they first hit it big in the live stuff ive seen, all the way up to his last days...fuck drugs, look what theyve done
he was just another victim of this society that cannot understand one's needs and keep askin' for more and more and more...'till he colaps. it's sad because it wasn't his time to pass away...rip
HispanicImpression....ur right but none of the other band members....infact no one else even compares to his unique voice....just like kurt cobain...layne staley...Syd Barrett..Elvis Presley....get the point....bands are great and it takes everyones effort but theres a reason the singers are considered the frontman...
