you know all things considered King Creole seems like a pretty decent boss. he pays good. he has a friendly attitude. and as long as you don't go snooping around in his personal life you got nothing to worry about.
@Dominic Johnson (Student) yeah and he has a pretty neat way of signing into work. i think it's kinda cute having to stick a pin in a doll when you enter your work.
Y'all are pretty crazy, he had plans for the cashier, he's not one with innocent intent. His sense of morality is good enough up until your use to him wanes.
When the cops came to Travis' house to apologize and asked if he would apologize to KC, i almost wish Travis would have smiled wryly and asked, "is that your wish?" Such a great story. Thanks to the writer and the narrator for these experiences.
As someone who’s worked in retail for 15+ years, I can say with absolute confidence that a customer could light my place of employment on fire and I’d tell them to have a nice day on their way out.
Honestly i would love to work there, get immortality, can cosplay and low key vaguely tell ppl whats bad but to do it but be careful. I'd be [clide from south park] sooooo happy... i just want my online my bb boss and crafts
LMAO I've worked a retail position for literally only one day my entire life! PacSun in Ft. Lauderdale, my first year of college in 2005...instantly knew it just was NOT for me!
Please continue this story, I know there is another guy that made a video with additional 5 hours of the story here on RU-vid. But his voice is very monotone and I'm sure people here would like to hear more of the story.
Creepydarkpasta on youtube has one called "my return to the half priced voodoo store." I wish he would narrate the second part because the first was so good and I can't stand listening to the video on the other guys page. No offense to creepydarkpasta, I just can't handle that monotone voice.
Hmm, I wonder how a position becomes vacant. Does Travis retire from it, move on to something different, or piss Mr Creole off and end up in the basement.😵
I like how this guy got a job at a place that is full to the brim with magic and he Doesn’t question it in the slightest. It’s a nice change of pace from the people in horror stories who refuse to acknowledge the supernatural until the last moment
Fax. It’s refreshing, and exactly why it can get you hooked. NGL, my reaction would be almost like, if not, then exactly like how Travis processes every strange and abnormal thing that’s going on in the story.
23hawk_ Thinking back to my long ago teens...I don’t really blame him with a lot of them. Of the in story kills, all but the redhead and the football player earned it. Well, red did go back to that place...which she should have *known* nobody was going to be able to handle, with the intent of causing trouble for them. Football player just wanted a nice future for him and his girl.
@@23hawk_75 I was thinking the same initially, but afterwards, I'm more inclined to believe(hope?) that he only punished those that deserved (?) it..? If not perhaps quite as much so cruelly or in that exact same way we would consider "reasonable..?" (Somehow preternaturally knowing about their personal affairs, perhaps either because the clients are directed to him by fates and K.C. being/becoming their "agent," or somehow acquiring such knowledge otherwise...being self-appointed judge, or connecting to their life and assigning punishments as he sees fit himself?) Including, if not perhaps more so than any other, the woman-turned-monster-in-the-basement? Maybe she was meant to be the previous owner, or associate, or something along those lines..? Maybe he's (it? The theory of him being/becoming a doll himself does make some kind of sense... sacrificing his humanity? Making a devil's deal of sorts, becoming something* else) something along the lines of cosmic karmic "justice?" Justice with extreme prejudice... not that he seems to much care (anymore?) that he is dishing out something so dreadful... to anyone really... but why the shop..? That part is confusing... was that a part of a deal "Charles" made with some force or other?
@@nvfury13 the redhead did not so much "go back," as was dragged back after calling the cops...for betrayal of trust? something to that nature... _"misplacing good graces"_
Please make a video for "my return to the half priced voodoo store", "my life as a voodoo puppet" and "the half priced voodoo story is reopening" You have by far the best creepypasta covers due to the effort you make so every character has their own unique voice. Gives the already amazing story an even better vibe.
1:20:00 this genuinely made me sad, homie just wanted to go to school and he couldn't even have that. it makes it double sad for me when wishes are made upon other people to act differently. I couldn't imagine how shitty that feels
I agree - but I’m sure Creole would have found a loophole to allow him to kill the boy, anyway - maybe make him part of a walk of the university, or something
@@silversforest Oh I didn’t mean you or the OP. I said it because what OP said sounded a bit like gay sex and there is a video on the internet of a man saying “Ha GAYYY” in a classroom when his teacher says something. Sorry for the confusion
Hah thank you! I actually remember that exact moment and thinking "should I do another take?" and was like "no, that was good." I'm glad I made the right choice hah.
Man I was started to like King Creole after he helped that little girl!! Then all hell broke lose! Muhahaha! Enjoyed every single second of this one! Thanks LH!!
"The Devil Game" has always been my favourite Creepypasta....until tonight. This was SO incredible. I even made sure to clean the house extra intensely just to make sure it took long enough for this story to finish.
This title is insanely appealing to me. Nearly everyone I work with is Haitian. Apart from lack of ability I've never written a Creepypasta because nothing I could write could compare with their true stories.
This one is for the books so my fullest congratulations to the author Voodoo Clerk on being able to write a terrifying and surreal and hilarious at the same time. And Lighthouse doing it is nothing but the best. Great collaboration.
I tried to listen to this by a few different narrators and couldn’t get into the characters but I am so glad I tried it one more time because I love it and love the way you brought this to life for me.... I have been at the edge of my seat in this one. Thank you I needed this distraction today! Excellent job
I downloaded this and the sequel so I could listen again and again on long road trips. The roads highways in Virginia go through the woods a lot and lose signals a lot.
Okay this was a good one I know that some people don't feel sorry about what happened to Travis but really what would you do in his situation . I'm sure that a lot of people would like to think that they would do the right thing . But really would any of us cross a boss like CHARLES I think not . Anyway I really liked this story .
Yeah, as long as you follow the rules, keep your head down, be nice to the customers, and keep collecting the $30.00 an hour! Man, I guess this is how the mob gets people, good pay.
The fact this has been my go to sleep story for almost 4 years now! It helped me through covid. I was 17 then I'm just coming onto 21 now, still listen to this almost monthly.
Things I've learned from KC...1).Don't be vain(or your face will melt).2) Don't Steal 3)Don't play with guns (nor threaten employees) 4)Don't betray folks 5)Don't be rude /offensive to shop owners, employees, and all people that look strange/freaky,different,etc. 6) Never be cruel/abusive to children. 6) Don't mess with Voodoo Shop owners ( or Undead Folks 😍😍😍) 7) Don't mess with unknown beings/things that are in "forbidden basements". I love KC and Travis. Please keep these wonderful stories coming.
I actually do work at Marie Laveau's House Of Voodoo. It's not like this at all. I read cards there and I love it and it's definitely not anything like a creepypasta. Also, we don't have basements in New Orleans. You'd drown. LMAO
LIGHTHOUSE - What makes your channel different, and so much better, than other channels, is that you choose AWESOME stories, not just reading any random story, but actually picking really well written ones. When I listen to other channels, the majority of the stories sound like they just chose literally anything to throw up on the channel, with actually well written stories being the exception rather than the rule. Contradictorily, I almost always just adore the stories you choose. Please never comromise your talented and discerning eye for selecting what you narrate on your channel. And please, ask whoever wrote this (I'm going to check the description after writing this) to write more for you to narrate - such an excellent story, well paced, well written, great balance of humour, suspense, horror, and wonderful character development. And your narration is divine - your voice work is pretty damn exceptional when it comes to bringing each different character - and the story overall - to life. Cheers, and thanks again for the wonderful narration to you Lighthouse and to the author for letting us take a peek into their delightfully deranged head!
Whoever wrote this should make a sequel where Olivia grew up always visiting KC until he took her under his wing and taught her all his voodoo magic. 🤯
@@alfonsobevilacqua6923 just listened to it, and it was still phenomenal. Would've liked to see a darker twist of turns with the characters being as it was kind of obvious who the bad ones were. Nonetheless still an amazing listen! (I typed that above comment prior to finishing the first)
@Erin Leafty it's on his channel. Type it in RU-vid and look for the unwatched video, think it's called the same thing. Highly recommend LEFT GAME RIGHT GAME Or BORASCA after you watch part 2
"Surviving a headshot" I don't know why I find this so funny... wait, nevermind, it's me imagining a teenage boy screaming, "HOW THE F*CK DID HE SURVIVE THAT!!! HE'S A HACKER!!!"
To everyone saying they wished for a happy ending... Spoiler... The kid was just as guilty as his boss and Mary, not once did he even try to help or at least warn anyone. To the author: Feaking awesome story and the ending was imho perfect. To lighthouse: amazing job bringing this story to life.
Wow!!! That story was so well written and so well told 👏 For over two hours I was completely captivated by your voice. I gotta admit I was kinda hoping for a happy ending for Travis 🙂
I've been putting off listening to this one for at least a year for some reason. I'm about an hour and 40 minutes in, and its seriously one of the best stories I've heard on any channel. Lighthouse picks the best fxcking stories to narrate.
This is by far the best story I've heard in a long time. Please more of the same. These are good character's that should be let out to play again. Thank you.
I don’t like this protagonist very much... brilliant story tho. Great narration 💙 Edit: the protagonist has redeemed himself. Good job Travis Edit: TRAVIS NOOOO
I did a 10K walk (retirement age) with time left over to finish listening at home. I didn’t know what to expect when I picked this story to accompany me on my 6.4 mile walk! When walk was done, I kept hoping Travis had a chance, but KC already seemed too formidable and all-seeing. Travis succumbed to his fate after I got home. Poor boy!
This was totally worth it!! Couldn't have guessed this story would be like it was. Don't know really what I was expecting but was VERY pleasantly surprised. Very different but in the best of ways
This is the first Lighthouse narration I ever listened to. That was years ago now, and it's still one of my favorites. The channel has grown so much in the years since this vid, and I'm so over the moon happy about it. Love ya, Lighthouse, and thank you for years of amazing stories. :)
I just started this really drawn in. I would honestly like to see kc in person just to see how he would talk with stitches and how he would see with buttons with eyes
I laughed so hard when he said “I can finally shove it in my parents face, that I made something with my life! working at a voodoo shop! It’s the dream right?” 🤣🤣
of course it is! this sounds like my dream job! nice paying cool boss stupid ignorant customers dying, fun! cleaning all the blood and stuff is tough but you will get used to it
God, you're so underrated, absolutely the BEST narrator out there, the stories you pick to narrate are always incredible and i love that you don't speak in a monotone voice and actually have emotion, brings it alive to me.
Mostly psychotic. He wants a worker to be a mindless zombie to never question KC’s motives or history. keeps his GF jailed so he can beat her, feed her dead or dying customers as food. Wishes granted usually result in excruciating death. Noble man? I think not.
Then he'd be dead. Congratulations! You're not a puppet any more, Travis m'boy. Now you're a corpse. Though I'd bet you'd like to know that this is REALLY INCONVENIENT for me.
I'm only 5 minutes in and I'm hooked, the theme is very unique too it seems, in for 2 hours of ear pleasure 😊 thank you for such a long story really appreciate the work it must take but the long stories are also amazing 👍
I don't usually comment on things, and I'm sure you're too busy to read most of these, but I really love your videos! You got some real talent, thank you for sharing it!
since im early for once i wanna take the oppurtunity to thank you for providing these amazing works ,they really make my workdays feel so short. Keep at it your voice is perfect for this.
Man, I hope that you will read the rest of this lovely series at some point! The way you give Creole and Travis life just fuels my being, not gonna lie!
Honestly, King Creole wasn't that bad of a dude till Travis snooped. He was rather friendly until then and I love how Olivia's situation was *resolved.* Very good story and I love your voices for the different characters! I'm definitely going to come back to hear more creepypasta narrations.
He killed people that didn’t deserve it - serial killers are often friendly, too - he was a horrible, evil monster, imo. Even Olivia’s mother didn’t deserve death, she just deserved having Olivia taken away from her.
This is one my most favorite horror stories on Yoitube. It has great voice acting, an interesting plot with shades of "American Horror Story" and "Twilight Zone" thrown in.
Only half way through and I love this story so much. I could listen to it again at work tomorrow! I just found you yesterday on RU-vid and have already listened to eight hours of your narration. Thank you.
Dude, your emotion and different tones you take to portray the characters is amazing. I love listening to you narrate these stories. Ive been binging on them, maybe one day ill get through them all. Until then, im going to enjoy the hell out of this. Thank you!
Okay this is now officially my favorite creepypasta. I love the way you did King creole's voice. Couldn't get enough of this one. I looked for more "half-price voodoo stories" & there are some, but the people that read them just aren't as fun as you! Please do more half-price voodoo stories!
He was doing such a great job, getting raises and days off. Well on his way to the employee of the month with a nicely framed picture on the wall, but then his pesky conscience suddenly kicks in and ruins it all! Anyway, great story, well-narrated, and had me hooked to the end!
I was listening to this while sleeping (for like the 20th time) and my brain turned it in to sequel where KC is the owner of a gas station that's being robbed. Was actually pretty good
i am just an hr into this,,,and i am smiling so wide....love this to death....hope you do another by this writer like this,,,your voice was made for this kinda story...my fav so far is Oliva and her abusive mother...love happy endings that have magic attached to them...thank you thank you thank you for this...
Honestly, since I've discovered your page, I have been nothing but impressed by your narrations and the stories you decide to narrate!!! I just have to say keep up the good work buddy!!!
Always good to see you my friend!! Lol I knew that ending would split people, but I get why he did it. Travis was complicit in a lot of the killings. Part of me was wondering in the first half how he was going to redeem the character. Thanks for the support Rueben always good to see you!
I absolutely ADORE this macabre tale!! I've listened to it 5 times in 2 yrs and it's still as thrilling as the 1st time I heard it! But, I have a question, will you ever finish the story? I know there's a 2nd installment, and it's really good, but it would truly be SO much better with YOUR voice. Man! I love your channel.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Please finish the story! I know there is more to it but i cant stand the other narrations since i heard yours. You do the voices so well! Please please give us the ended!
I want to animate this and have you voice Creole! ! This is definitely my new favorite creepypasta! I wonder if the author would be down to have this brought to life :O
Your creepy southern deep voice you use in this and " I found a coffin buried I'm my backyard" is awesome I love the voice acting you take the time and have the skill to do and others just read the script. This guy needs way more subs people hit the damn button already
