Weird that he mentioned Old Town Maine. About 20 minutes from Old Town, I found a super weird compound on a logging road. It's supposed to be something for logging, like a wood processing location... but I've never seen so many cameras and barbed wire fences for something like that. Super sketchy

What we need is FBI HRT Or swat horror stories dealing with these type of cases. Honestly this sounds like a training session because that would be perfect. You send them on a training session but they don't know it yet.

Really? He doesn’t have the grades to get a scholarship. He’s just in college because of sports, and if anyone has ever known college athletes, they don’t have a lot of time for a useful major. Then they are only trained for three weeks? They waste bullets and shoot at anything making noise, what if it had been a human with information that was hiding. Also, in Maine, SUVs are more the norm, as winters require it. They aren’t even so far into Maine, so they are in an area where I’ve literally run into A-listers.

There's a glaring issue with the story that sort of ruined it for me. Only those that have an immune response develop antibodies to whatever caused the reaction. If someone is immune due to genetics, you can't get anything out of it.

it could be because her immune system was slightly different in a way that effectively combated the virus. Not everyone's immune systems are the same so this could be a possibility although they didn't go into detail. You could be right though but I wouldn't think the author was trying to be biologically correct here and was just going off of what they knew.

Real story, I went to the home page of my phone and noticed their were updates available in the App Store. One was RU-vid. When I clicked download I got confused why the narration stopped, then did I realize that it was a RU-vid video and not an audiobook haha. That's how high quality this narration is. Keep it up.

Update: a few minutes into this story and the protagonist claimed to "be doing nothing with his life", despite being at Penn state off of a football scholarship. Also he got hired out of college and only had (3 weeks of training)for this highly classified FBI job! This is a bad sign for this story, I hope it gets better as I go on.

This was a great story. Very scary, viruses and zombies how perfect. I found you a couple of days ago and have been binge watching or should I say listening. The first story I listened to was the motel with the vampires, which was also terrific. I’ve listened to some short ones of yours also. Even though I’ve always liked to listen to stories you are by far the “best narrator” I’ve ever heard. Your voice just draws me into the story. I just sit here and listen to you tell the stories and I feel like I’m in a trance, part of the story. Between the awesome stories and your narration, you have a fan for life. 👍🏻.

This wld make a great series! I listen to stories and books bc I don’t have alot of time to read. However, I will definitely be checking out this writer!! I’m not really surprised tho bc LhH often picks great stories. Ho man i give him props for continuing to stay in the bureau after being assigned, then turning into this monstrous thing and being shot! Talk about getting everything in one dose on his 1st mission! Thankfully he had a loyal and amazing partner who never gave up on him since i can imagine how hard it is to trust someone in this line of work! Amazing story! LH never fails to deliver

The emotion in the voice is a great way to read a story. It shows "involvement" in the make-believe reality of the the story line. It's like listening to a friend telling you about something that happened to them.

This is a timely story relevant to the gain of function research we've learned about. I'm afraid there's an island somewhere with ungodly experiments going on (the Island of Dr Moreau comes to mind).

Ok but is her arm/shoulder hurt, or not? Jayce grabs her by the shoulders and she climbs up a 20' vent? Same kinda continuity: if the head scientist wasn't turned, why didn't she use her own blood? Or maybe I missed the line where she blocked her vents.
