I work for one day at the Indufesa Do it Center hardware store in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to learn what it's like to load and unload construction materials. Indufesa gives me an unprecedented challenge that day: everything I can carry and load will be donated toward the construction of a school in Chamelecon, San Pedro Sula.
I have to carry and load steel rods, steel beams, and water tanks. I have to learn to drive a forklift, cut wood, and eat like the employees. In the end, I have to load 40 bags of cement onto a truck in ten minutes. When I only have two more minutes, I attempt to lift two bags of cement onto my back. Will I be able to do it or will I die trying? Let's find out together.
This is episode 1 of 2.
Thank you Indufesa Do it Center for supporting us in the construction of the school in Chamelecon. For more information about the project or to donate: my.shhkids.org/67
From July to December, when you buy more than 1,500 lempiras from the sponsored brands at Indufesa, the hardware store will donate a portion towards the construction of the school and you could be one of the 220 winners of prizes up to 5,000 lempiras.
