I recently purchased this saw, along with their new TSV-60 track saw w/scoring blade. With the tracksaw to cut down sheet goods, the small table saw can handle 90% of what I need a table saw to do. I DID find that I miss having measurements and stops on the miter gauge, so I purchased Benchdog's miter fence for it. Nice combo. With a minor adjustment to the sliding table (see the discussion on the FOG message board, it's now the accurate saw I was hoping it would be. My current project of kitchen cabinet faceframes, doors and drawers is a good match for this saw.

I love the scoring blade feature on TSV-60, it’s such a great secondary blade for plywood cutting. What was the issue you had with the sliding table?

@@ClarasWoodshop It was angled just slightly down away from the blade and threw off my crosscuts when I was using the miter gauge and the sliding table. In the discussion on the Festool Owner's Group (aka, "FOG") people figured out how to shim the height adjusters under the sliding table mount to bring the sliding table level with the stationary table. ALL table saws I have worked with have had to be trued up in some way - my Delta Unisaw, Bosch contractor saw, Milwaukee battery powered saw - all had some adjustment to be made. Part of the deal of using a table saw. This isn't a big deal - 10 minutes, 2 pieces of blue tape... easy-peasy... I even did it for another owner.

My first use of the saw was at my remote cabin in Alaska, off road and off grid. I hauled it out on my snow mobile. So amaizingl easy to haul, worked so well.

What I like about it is probably not what engineers had really in mind while designing it... What I mean is its motor! It is battery powered and as aside effect it is brushless. All corded construction saws use universal motors with brushes which are very noisy. And nobody cares to make a proper one, fearing it will be to expensive. At least it fits to festool price. Now, if I could only reproduce all these motorized adjustments for hand tool version of a table saw - bridge city tool works jointmaker pro, that would really make my dream come true!

It's perfect! I don't know if that's what you wanted to hear as it's quite expensive. I don't think it's quite worth the price, but neither is a Ferrari. It's very well designed and executed. Let me know what you decide.@@ClarasWoodshop

Have you tried beveled rips yet? Specifically all the way to 45 degrees? I got the whole kit and will try it out on that next week. According to the manual they want the rip fence in the low position and slid closer to the front of the saw.

I have a SawStop contractor table saw. This was my experience and opinion from my first time using Festool’s table saw.

Ah ok, I too own the CTS and its good but the paddle switch already had to be replaced due to malfunction and the top is not as flat as I would like it to be. Sawstop sent me one for free quickly, good CS. I lengthened the fence with extrusion and made a removeable infeed extender on it while sitting on a cabinet with outfeed extended also. Festool should have put a rack and pinion fence on it like the CTS/dewalt, they own Sawstop. This is really targeted toward installers who need the smallest available package, who have extremely limited room in their vans and are already in the festool "system". I do not like the bevel toward the fence either. It is tempting, but the CTS has the finger saver tech, which is why I use it over my dewalt 7491rs, which I actually would rather use.... but I like my fingers more. @@ClarasWoodshop

Oh man I like how you are chilling all relax like at the beach at 11:30 your a true tomboy in those overalls! 😂 you should grab a sword and shield battle goblins and monsters like link does in the legend of Zelda links awakening! A beautiful girl in those overalls fighting dodongos queen gohma and oktoroks on the beach and taking down ganon while in those overalls and saving Princess Zelda 😂 if you can take down ganon your the strongest tomboy ever in those overalls 😂😂 keep up the goodwork with your videos 😊 Hyrule is safe since this masculine and pretty woman in those overalls is running the beach 🥰

It's overpriced for its ability. People are wowed over by the digital dials. But there is no "distance to fence". That would make it worth its price to be able to resort back to a previous cut width. Blade height is not useful if no dado stack as you mentioned. Just eyeball and crank is fastest. Having to pack and unpack is also a time killer. My milwaukee cordless has a handle. That's it. Plop it up and start cutting. Grab it and throw it in the truck. No careful breakdowns and aligning perfectly placed pieces in the lid. It is a sweet looking tool, so if you are a rich festool fanboy, enjoy it for your dollhouses.

Dollhouses!? 🤭🤭🤭 Too funny 😂 I can totally understand where you’re coming from. Definitely not something I’d say could be the only saw if you’re doing some bigger projects, but it’s wonderful for tasks of medium to smaller scale - I suppose dollhouses qualifies for that too 🤣
