Solider right there! Glad you okay my brother!!!. Good you were calm given the circumstance. Don't worry about the bike as long as you are good. I flipped my 08 ZX10R doing a 2nd gear wheelie and bike was totaled. (Got the Gen IV about 2 months later) Had my gear on so just some bruises not too bad. I've been on the track too. Looks like you're with the advance group. Almost no rules on passing. I think the brake lights are covered so you can't tell if someone is braking. Guy behind was definitely coming in HOT. Perhaps trying to catch you. The rider behind you always has more responsibility for traffic ahead on the track. My first session on NJMP Track I almost hit the rider in front of me because I was trying to catch and pass. I was able to park that front brake. Glad you okay bro. That eagle flies high and watches over you!🦅
Same thing happened to me this summer. I was leaning into the turn and got hit. I asked the dude if he was going straight or what as I was clearly on the right line. He said he was trying to pass me before the turn, but didn't make it and couldn't slow fast enough.
Sheesh. What experience was the group? Looks as if he didn’t follow the proper line for that turn at the speed he was going. Glad you guys are okay though
Now it’s time to make it a full on track bike now, fuck the mirrors off pull the dent out on the exhaust and new peg.. it’s a minor ting could of been a lot worst thank god your ok and that you able to ride another day
All those years of switching lanes and splitting cars, going crazy. And this is how it goes down? Some jackass hitting you? The bounce back is coming bro, at least it was at the track 😢
Unfortunately this is what happens at track days. I'm sure the guy is sorry, but jeez, its an open lapping session, use your head. The rider behind is responsible for safe passing. Worst part is he did this when there was nothing but ego on the line
So true brother. Seen this happen all to often and like you said. It's all because of ego and someone trying to be a hero. I've had more near crashes in 3 track days than 10 years riding like mezz on the streets.
@@BOOSTEDH2 @BOOSTEDH2 - 100% ego the rider that hit MEZ try to blame MEZ. Rider behind was coming in way to hot. I've done the track myself you get wanna be Jonathan Rea riders. If you're gonna go often I'd pick up an R6/CBR600RR - I road NJMP was fantastic!!!!! - one of the straights I was able to touch 166 MPH. In the open class MOCK race an R6 won. I was not in the Mock Race. I road in the beginner group. After first session instructor had me take my vest off. Said I was good to go! I could of jumped to intermediate but to many wrecks and my GEN IV was only 1 year old.
What level track day is this? I know different organizations have different rules but with ridesmart you can't even pass on the inside unless you're level 3 for reasons just like this. Glad you're ok man.
That guy tried to go inside of you despite the fact you was already committed to your line entering the corner. This must be Intermediate group ! That’s where all the accidents take place, those who think they are fast verses those who belong in the novice group!
He was suppose to not come in hot like that. The track is for everyone to practice, and learn. Not run into others. You didn't wreck, someone knocked you over. Hope bike isn't bad.
I don’t get what he was trying to do the other guy had space but you clearly were in the racing line so I don’t get why he thought it was a good idea to try and cut you off just to end up going wide in the turn and still being behind
