Originally, the scene doesn't have any music over it, so I took it upon myself to write something nice to lay underneath it. There is a small section of a music box that plays at the end of the scene from the original show, but other than that, I wrote everything you see here!
Recently I've really enjoyed writing soundtracks for anime and would love to actually be able to do it one day. It's very different from my regular EDM style, but it's nice in a way to be able to express a different side of my music.
I really tried to capture what I was feeling the first time that I had watched this. Music can really make or break a scene, so I wanted my piece to represent what I thought it meant for Nijika to break the boundary and allow Bocchi to join the band. Uncertainty, happiness, nervousness, and even a tiny bit of regret. Ultimately however, I wanted it to match the visuals and the feeling of having a meaningful one-on-one conversation with someone that changes your perspective. I think that was the most important part of all of this, an extrovert sought out an introvert and made them feel comfort.
