The i9 cpu hits 100C/212F. That is absolutely terrible. It doesn’t even hit the base clock speed. There is no excuse for this lack of design choice by Apple

I know this isn't a benchmark channel, and I appreciate that! However, it was disappointing that you chose not to discuss any details abut how bad the throttling on this laptop really is (which i thought you would have based on the title). Especially while discussing render times: this cpu throttles so hard within the new Macbook Pro that you're leaving EASILY 25%+ improvement on the table for render times alone. You can't discuss marginal improvements in render time without at least *mentioning* that you won't be getting even CLOSE to your moneys worth.

This is 7000$ for roughly a 15% upgrade!? You're paying almost 500$ for every single percent of incremental performance increase?! In what universe is this even justifiable? A nice used car, a very nice motorbike, from a year to 5 years of house rent depending on where you live... etc, etc. If you already own a sheeple product, then this is nuts to even think about. Standard Apple. They might have just slapped another 1000$ on top of their 2000$ profit per unit, and called it a day. They already know most rich youtubers will buy it solely for editing on the go. And yes you indeed need to be rich to buy a 7k lap top. I don't live in the U.S. and my entire house with the land costs two times that. Yeah not even joking. So with that amount of money here, you could do a lot of things. To my mind this is just insane, and even if I had all the money in the world I wouldn't support such a greedy company.

6 grand are you kidding?? Doesn't even fully use the CPU and the GPU is FAR worse than gpus u can get in like $900-1000 laptops???? Like I get the build quality, software and appeal of MacBooks..but if they could just either use adequate hardware or drop the outrageous apple tax, and have fair customer service rma options, they would have a killer product. But as it is now, they're chocking their own potential by being so anti-consumer.

My MacBook Pro has sticky and repeating keys, for which reason I sent it for keyboard repair a week ago. My Mac is still in warranty BTW. Two days later, they told me there was some minor liquid spill near the mother board. Therefore, they wanted to charge me 1500+ bucks to replace the mother board first before they could replace the keyboard. I chose to decline the requote and only asked them to clean the faulty keys for me. When I received my Mac back two days ago, the faulty keys remained faulty. To my surprise, the battery and WiFi router do not work now. In summary, they used an excuse to avoid replacing the faulty keys and broke my hardware, which were in perfect working conditions before the repair. Now they have voiced my warranty because of the liquid spill mentioned earlier and for God’s sake I can’t have my Mac repaired any more. Even if I can, they are gonna use the spill as excuse to avoid doing so anyway. I am shocked, frustrated and disappointed. I don’t know who can help me. 😔

That SSD speed is insane. My SSD is 4-5 times slower and it works great, I cannot imagine how 2,600MB/s looks like in normal use.

This isn't really an honest review. The throttling isn't "a little bit"; it's a lot. To the point where the i9 ends up down clocking lower than the i7 option.
