Iam's version was the most original. His heart, soul and passion is unmatched. Panda's version was the most fun. Lane's version was the most entertaining and energetic. The band I was in did this song pretty well too.
You nailed it! They're all amazing singers! They each have their own unique way of delivering the song. And each has a different delivering with the passion behind it. Bottom line, they all did great.
Thanks for sharing these. I had not heard Panda, before, but she just makes you smile. Then Laine I watched from his first audition all the way through to the second when he won. Then Iam had this from his first time before the judges. And one thing that stuck out to me, was that it didn’t matter what he was singing, you could understand each word. And that doesn’t happen very often. Thanks again for your input.
What I thought was interesting is how Laine’s and Iam’s stories overlap just a tad in that their first time they never got past a certain point - Laine didn’t get past Hawaii while Iam didn’t get past the initial screening. They weren’t enthusiastic about auditioning the following season, but they did and they ended up winning the whole thing. Of the three, though, Iam was the only one who drew me into the song. That’s a testament to his storytelling.
First off all, I always love your passionate reactions to musical talents. Secondly, thank you for thinking of the veterans especially on this Memorial Day. Unfortunately, my wife and I unwillingly joined the Gold Star family club in 20018 when our son passed while serving in the Army. It still hurts like it was yesterday. As a matter of fact my wife and I are currently on our way to Ft Logan National Cemetary to visit him. Lastly, I hadn’t watched American Idol and the X-Factor for years so I don’t know who the others are but I watched American Idol this year since Iam’s audition went viral. However, all his performances all the way to the finale were consistently great to me. Probably like every other fan that watched, he had something that drew us to his performance’s very emotionally. It may be his back story. It may be his story telling. It may be his royalty to his roots. Or it may simply be his talent. Whatever it is, it worked! I may be a little bias in my judgment though I still enjoyed the other two tremendously as well! Again, thank you for this fantastic comparison reaction.
Love love love Laine Hardy. Watched both series he was in. And he is a great entertainer. It's a hard choice for me as I now have all Laines Albums as I love his voice so much...but Iam's soul just shines when he sings and he is a true artist. I hope he goes a long way in the world.
I love this song. I’m a r&b girl and Iams version hands down is the best performance. Pandas was fun to watch being flirtatious with Simon. The last one I didn’t care for only because when he picked up the tempo, its no longer the r&b feel that I like. Not saying he’s not good cause he is but I like Iams best then Pandas cause it’s more soulful.
Laine Hardy's performance is by far the best. The other two did great, but Laine is the whole package!!!!! He has the best stage presence and looks like a star!!!!!! Thank you for showing this on RU-vid!
I remember watching Panda w/her rendition of this song. She was a joy to watch w/so much soul! Laine is terrific in this performance! His groove & soul comes thru in this song! Iam's performance is just plain awesome..the right amount of soul w/a smoother tone..❤
I listen to choke Hawaiian reggae and the only reggae version of this song I can recall is UB40. I could be wrong. Like I said I listen to CHOKE Hawaiian reggae. This song sets you up to hit those notes, if you can. Yes she was good..
This is my favorite of all your reactions. I love that you just valued each of them for the artistry they showed, making the song theirs. Isn't it amazing to live on the same planet as people who are so creative and talented that they can make you believe THEY wrote the song and bring their emotions out, making yours spill over, too. Thanks for this.
Totally love this video! Laine is wonderful and wish I could see more of him. He is so soulful with a gospel twist! Iam can sing anything and it’s great! I never thought the original could be interpreted differently but yet the same. The first one is more like Sam Cooke. Amazing!
Cover Laine Hardy's journey, please. He's got that gravel in his voice just like Chris Singleton. With the right selections of songs, the world of music is his.
Thank you very much, Heel, for sharing with us these three different yet beautiful and unique artists with their own uniqueness of presentation. Keep it up, brother. Cheers.
I love all the singers. I had the pleasure to meet Laine, he is a great young man. Onward and upwards. I would love for you to show Laine’s journey on American Idol. I also loved Willie Spence. He was from Douglas, Ga. He sang for the Queen of England. Willie was killed in an auto accident not long after. God bless each one.
Wow…. I loved all 3 renditions of Sam Cooke’s song, ‘Bring it on home to me!’ All three of these singers captured the heart and soul of that amazing song!! Well done and I would love to have you do more of the same!!! 🎉🎉
All three are amazing but Iam is absolutely amazing, his singing is clear as crystal and with so much passion . Love his version!!! He is good.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🇯🇲🇯🇲
Thank you so much for including LAine …he is incredible.. he has many fan clubs and we would all love to hear more LAine here.. 🎼🎸🎸following you now !!!
They were all good and all were uniquely different. There is just something about Laine Hardy's performance. Very talented and versatile in any genre. I choose Laine as my pick of the three.
