He made me feel and really listen to the anthem anew. Amazing vocals, amazing storytelling. He looked calm, but he said it was nerve-racking, so forgot to remove his cap from nervousness. I don't blame him. There were over 48,000 people there. This is already such a difficult song to sing, and he chose to do it without his guitar or any musical backup- just a cappella. Chris Stapleton said that he was extremely nervous when he sang it. He's 27 years older than Iam, and more experienced.
He did a wonderful job. I saw where he apologized for not taking his hat off. He said his uncle said don't forget to take your hat off before singing. He said he was so nervous he forgot.
I love his range and how he took his time at the end. I don't think he showcased this type of range. Absolutely beautiful ❤ Thank you Iam. I keep waiting and anticipating your next move. I'M A BIG FAN!

Yes, he did a great job! Also, you can see in the video at the end that the girl walks up to him and lets him know he forgot to take his hat off, and he was surprised he forgot because he was so nervous to perform he completely forgot. It is okay he forgot because it was his first anthem performance, so it is very understandable! Great job, Ima Tongi!!!

It would've been cool if Megan Danielle was invited to the Atlanta race on Sunday to do the National Anthem though. Would've been a nice 1-2 of American idol 2023 contestants this week well at least they could get her to Darlington or Daytona later in the year.
She's singing with Maddie Poppe, for many of Maddie's concerts. She was also doing some local events with Haven and Marybeth. It sounds like she's also been in the recording studio for new songs. Colin and Iam (when he's not touring) have been hanging out together in Nashville. They've been close buds, since they first met at their audition in New Orleans (along with Matt Wilson). They've both been writing songs and in the recording studio too.
