IAM is the only singer I’ve heard that had the whole wide world in tears thru several of the songs he sang on American Idol. He had a way of capturing our hearts to feel the pain and hurt he was feeling. Such a beautiful soul with voice so full of emotion that we all could feel it.

What i love most about Iam is not just his soulful voice, but he stayed humble, he made friends with his competitors through their journey, and most importantly his confidence grew. In the beginning he was unsure and heavily relied on his father and his guitar, but each performance he grew more and more confident! So happy he won and can represent Hawaii!!🤙🏽🌺

Watching a recap of Iam’s journey reinforces what I thought about him from his audition: he doesn’t just sing to you. He draws you into the song and what he’s feeling. This means he didn’t have to do a ton of vocal gymnastics to draw votes or connect to his audience. You can also tell he had fun with some of the songs, and that fun is infectious. 🤙🏽

Iam is my favorite I do believe of all the Idols. I traveled to other states with my husband and granddaughter to see the American Idol concerts and met the top 10 contestants that won each year. I was blessed to talk with each of them in Greet and Meet. Wish Idol would bring back the concerts each year. I would love to meet Iam if he comes to an area near my state within 300 miles I will be there to meet this amazing young man. God has blessed Iam with talent beyond many others. I pray he will follow God's path and we will see one of the most talented singers of all times.

He exudes so much feeling when he sings. I find myself crying when he sings about his Father. My Father died 5 days before I was one so I have no memory of that kind of Fatherly love.
