Even before he received his UWM bachelor’s degree in social work, Larry Davis used his expertise and personal experience to advise the Obama administration on child welfare issues. He was placed in the foster-care system himself, at the age of three. Now he’ll divide his time between two master’s degree programs before he begins his doctoral studies.
