Ian Heaps Bread fishing 

All Ians fault that i became a bread head, watched this video so many times i think i wore it out, I then spent many happy hours fishing with Ian in Northants on the Nene and Welland before he moved to Wales, where i then spent many more memorable hours fishing his lakes. I still fish bread to this day and am happier sitting on the pond catching ten pounds of silvers than i ever will be catching 100lbs of carp.

I never watched any Ian heaps videos until this mont, reaches book many times. He's awesome. Leeds and Liverpool canal was where I fished bread punch all the time, almost 40 years ago now

Very informative video by one of the country's best ever anglers. How anyone can dislike the video I do not know - maybe stick to Love Island!? Great vid that has reminded me how to use bread with the float. 👍

One very nice and decent guy. Met him several times at angling venues in Northern Ireland.

I had this on video and remember it well on account of watching it over and over. That was many years ago. I gave up fishing some five years ago and have only just taken it up again. Where am I fishing now? Canal fishing with Pole and whip on the Grand Union Canal - working my way from Market Harborough. The Gudgeon seem to have drastically reduced in numbers, probably eaten by the proliferation of Perch here now. I've also had some good Bream, skimmers and roach. Great video Ian and very instructive. Taught me you don't need to chase the big fish to have a great day out. I found Carp fishing on the commercials a bit boring in the end. Rivers can be hard work and unpredictable - just finding the fish holding spots is tough enough. With the canal you know roughly the depths you will be working with and a 13m pole will get you to the far bank, with whips working best near in. I look forward to seriously trying bread out this Winter - save me a bundle on bait costs!

So chuffed to find that Ian fished locally to me, I was told this by his old crew Barnsley Blacks some of whom I met on holiday on Corfu.

The Gladding Masters, the Rowing Course Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre in I think 1977, Ian Heeps was on peg one and Pike were being caught, would you believe!
