Ian Noe is already a legend of storytelling. If he never reaches the fame of these other singer songwriters, he will still be marked in history for his songs and perfect delivery. This might just be his best song when you look at the writing and meaning of the song.

Ian Noe is an underrated gem. Glad to see you reacting to him. There’s so many in his catalog you can’t miss. He’s an incredibly talented songwriter and yea most of them are very subdued to allow the lyrics to shine.

Thanks, Don. I feel this song very deeply. I've found myself in these positions before. To me, "if today doesn't do me in" is just about taking it one day at a time and saying "if I can just get through today" I'll be fine.

Wonderful song. I love the the narrative feel of the lyric, I love his voice telling the story, and I love the whole mixture that comes together magically. Sure got me thinking, and I love that too. Thanks Matt for the brilliant request, and thanks Don for the great reaction. I had no idea about the average 3 week adjustment to major change --- it always seems to me longer than that --- I guess I'm weird!
