/ ngoneseven ||| fretfriend.co.uk A nice semi-acoustic in for a fret level and setup. Do Ibanez make any bad guitars? I have always been surprised by how well their cheaper guitars actually are and this is another of them! Enjoy...
Thanks for sharing, yet another great project! I have just refretted an Ibanez Gio GRG M21 Micro, and used the StewMac Original Z-File for the first time! Wow, I'm blown away, it's sooo good, and makes for precise work, better than before! I too used a fine diamond crowning file to just bring the fret top line in a little further, and it worked great! I now need to finalize the fret polishing and then set up the guitar! Quality tools, it's so important! Buy once, cry once, right! Cheers, buddy!
@@FretFriendGWaL - Sure, your work is brilliant, buddy! I couldn't agree more! Lately there's been many discussions about tools, especially on Facebook, and I can not stress how important proper tools are! I know that the Original Z-File will save me time, and really up the game, for future fret crowning. Exactly! Cheers, buddy!
@@GuitarNTabs Cheers man! I was just thinking the same about you earlier: I am cutting 3 x bone nuts from blanks and I am thinking to myself: I need to make these as good as Kenni makes his! You do top work buddy :)
@@FretFriendGWaL - Nuts are delicate work, and truly a BIG part of how the guitar feels and plays! Thanks, buddy, that really means a lot to me, coming from you! 😊 I enjoy making a good nut, and it's all worth it, when you can really hear the difference! Thanks once again, and the very same to you, Vic! Have an excellent day!
Awesome video! I am thinking about getting one of these. Everyone I see here in Canada says it comes setup with 10-52 which is my prefered string set. Could not imagine having 9s on that scale lenght but whatever the player prefers! Subscribed :)
A#! That's mad! 😂 Mine played beautifully straight off, although I did have to raise the tailpiece a few turns as the strings were touching the back of the bridge.
Great Video very useful, My as53 had 8 high frets g string still makes a buzz sound I was totally disappointed with this guitar expected way more this is the second Ibanez that I have and both of them the g-strings never sounds strange..... I do not think I will purchase another Ibanez, never had problems with my Yamaha's
@Ben Quirk So I take it you missed the bit where I insert a 4mm allen wrench into the truss-rod adjuster at 5:32 ??? Okay, I never mentioned the size but your answer was there Ben :) For the future, unless stated, assume all import guitars use a 4mm allen wrench to adjust the truss rod...
