I just bought a used ibanez artcore hollow body...i put on new strings and used elctronic tuner to tune...it all sounds decent except when i make a D chord..something is way off..im a drummer by trade ,,,45 years in local band but i always have tried to play guitar,,now at 66 im giving it one more try...do i need to have someone set guitar up and check nut tension etc,,i am a pretty mechanically inclined person so if you could point me n right direction i could probably make some adjustments,,,the nut is easy to get to,,i have some feeler guages,,

What did you set the pickup height to?

You didn't check the 'neck relief' before adjusting the truss rod? So how did you know what adjustment was needed?

Do you ask you customers how low they want the action prior to set up? Same with pickup height how do you determine the height on each type of pickup. Thanks

Hello Mitch. I have the same guitar. And a problem with it: the B string from the 7th position and higher. It is like muted. How can I correct it without damaging the guitar.
