Even though Ibanez is thought of as a modern guitar brand, we have decades of accumulated knowledge and a history of pushing the boundaries. These guitars are better than people think. I dunno whether it's because Ibanez finally have caught up with Suhr, the roasted neck, or whatever. But damn. I bought one a month ago, and I still freak over how easy they are to play, and how they scream. Those SD pups are awesome. Great playing BTW.

sounds very good for a strat sound!I usually love Dimarzio humbuckers but this single coil sound is very pleasing!

Did you get a Prestige or Premium? I think the AZ Prestiges are overpriced for what they are, but I'm afraid that the Premium ones won't be very good quality. The Premium RG's have typically suffered from a lot of QC flaws, at least all the ones I've seen at many different stores.

surgeyX I tried the prestige, but I thought the premiums felt just as good. If there are a difference,it's so small that I didn't wanna pay to get the prestige. I bought the tequilla sunrise gradation premium. It looks awesome and play awesome.

Nick K You're right, Premiums are a hit & miss... Most common problems include fret levelling and tool markings, but when you get a good one, then it's a good one... I own the same exact Prestige guitar and its a killer, I'm planning of getting the Premium H+H 24 fret version... They are amazing

Just bought one of these babies myself...wonderful...can even do that bridge/neck tele two pickup.tone...i didn't know it could do that!!! Wonderful too..machineheads are a bit of a pain when it comes to quick string changing though... lol 😵

the js 1200 has not neck +middle or middle +bridge pickup neither neck +bridge pickups as single coil and this one yes! but i don't know if it sounds like a real vintage strat too and no boost inside vs Clapton's model or Luke III

hello, would you say it can sound like a vintage strat or classic player 60 (custom 69 pickups ) Example Nile Rodgers for the neck pickup or not so vintage? Second i look for Knopfler's tone (pos 2 and 4) too

phenixreturns It can sound very stratish for sure, it is 22 frets and a singecloil in the neck and middle (bridge don’t sound strat). Exactly like the guitars you name, probably not (even if I doubt all of those sound the same).

Dr. King Schultz well, theres a lot that is different from your strat. But I would say the roasted maple neck, stainless steel frets and neck radius is maybe what is most obvious Reaally nice guitar!

slickcross the chain for the most parts are. Pelle -> NYXL strings 10s -> Carl Martin plexitone (pedal) -> Olsson Custom Reverb 36 amp -> cabinet with V30s -> miced with and Royer R121.
