Ibanez really needs to reissue the destroyers and icemans! What a sweet guitar!! Totally agree with your rant! Just string normally... if the guitar goes out of tune easily, doing that won't help any ... the problem's elsewhere
i just saw daves fun stuff do a triple pickup one this week. you did a great job on this one. those snark super clipon tuners are fantastic. you can buy one for 29 or four for 99 at musicians friend
I would love to bring you my Ibanez Destroyer which I bought new in 1983. It's an Destroyer II. The electronics is gone, the switchnob is broken and the neck needs work too. Too bad I'm too far away, I mean really far away from Arizona, a world away. But I guess I will have to learn to do it my self. I also got two Ibanez Roadstar II which I also bought back in the 80ies. None of them work anymore. The only guitar that still works from the 80ies is a self build, which goes to show the best guitar is the one you build yourself. Rock on!
Don't blame you for venting, Zimm, but I would suggest that you show the viewers the more worthy alternative of locking luthier knots. Not only are these useful of themselves and allow the more thrifty-minded to save the cost of locking tuners, but you also look like a teacher instead of just somebody illing. Just a thought. I used to do that stupid thing when I was younger; now I don't and do better. Little help sometimes goes a long way.
