there is no guitar where bending sounds better than a stratocaster. both guitars sounded great. the faster licks i think sounded better with the ibanez and the notes where you were bending i thought sound better on your strat. good playing!
Should be titled humbucker vs single coil. If it’s Ibanez vs Fender it’s all about neck preferences (flat, thin vs rounder) and how much of a guitar snob you are.
Well, first of all the playing is tits up, secondly, I would have to say that the guitars are simply NOT comparable... It's like a race car, with a 68 mustang, there are one million more comparables available... two completely different worlds. ALTHOUGH my style is more the Fender type, doesn't mean I couldn't have a shit load of fun with the Ibanez! It's down to want ever blows your skirt up, and that's that.
Yngwie plays strat Jimi played a strat Stevie Ray Vaughn a strat Steve Vai plays ibanez Joe Satriani Ibanez Paul Gilbert ibanez I call it a push and I'd also say in general the older crowd likes strats The younger likes Ibanez My point is.. Okay.. I dont have one
No it doesn't. Just objectively, the difference is very subtle. It's there, but to say it sounds "so much better" is factually incorrect, because there just isn't enough of a difference. What you're hearing is your own brand bias
@@lred1383 It’s probably less brand bias and more sound bias. The person simply likes a certain sound over the other. You may prefer Ibanez sound and think the other person is just stupidly sticking to a brand versus a certain sound.
@@gutenbird No. I specifically emphasized words like "objectively", because the two sounds are just too similar for his choice of words. I can't say i like one of the sounds better than the other, because they're basically the same thing. Two guitars with heavy distortion, identical amp settings and similar pickups will always sound basically the same. I just didn't like him saying "so much better" because of aforementioned reasons. It's like some guy in a different comment section who called lettuce "very very sweet". Like, who are we trying to deceive here?
@@lred1383 I think when someone says that something is so much better or sounds so much better or is prettier, it goes without saying that it's just an opinion. I don't believe people have to say, "My opinion is that chocolate is so much better than vanilla." They can say, "Chocolate rocks." And sense he wasn't very specific about what sounded better about the Fender, people are just gonna recognize it's just someone talking. Don't take this poorly, but I don't think it's a requirement for someone to come along and explain with a great argument how in fact vanilla is far superior and that their opinion on chocolate is wrong. Now if someone was discussing the health benefits of one of the other, there might be a discussion. But for now it's just an opinion with little substance. If he comes back and explains what is so much better about the Fender, then that's an opening for a good discussion.
Oh cmon, if the differences were too close to matter it wouldnt matter..but ask a lifer if pickups, string action, fixed bridge vs floating one, or different woods, thicker or thinner necks makes a difference in tone or sound..%100 of them will say yes it definitely matters! Js
