It sounds like you had a wonderful time Kaygee! It's always nice when people are friendly when you travel. 'The people make the place' is something my Grandad always says! I think I would really like the shows and the gourmet food! And of course, how beautiful everything is

For sure we did have an amazing trip. Your Grandad is totally correct. The people do make the place. It enhances the entire experience. When others care and think about you they do small things that enhance the experience. An extra hello, keeping check to make sure we're enjoying, suggesting things to make the stay more relaxing, fun and enjoyable and the list goes on. I also think taking the time to talk to the staff and getting to know them goes a long way as well. It's a give and take in that sense and leads to the ultimate results! A great adventure indeed!

Hello Cuzzo! This is a great place to go relax. I am not sure if it is any easier to go to Cuba now from America but if it's possible for sure this is a great spot to go with the wifey! All inclusive resorts make for a relaxing week, especially after working hard for a long time. Good break from the responsibilities of the day to day so you can refresh yourself before getting back to the grind!

If you notice that the buses from the hotel are almost always full because the day is cloudy or for a similar reason, I recommend crossing the street and going to the bus stops. This way, you'll have an easier time catching the bus because there are fewer people coming from Varadero town to the hotels at that time. The trip might take a bit longer because the bus will first go to the end of the Varadero hotels, but you'll secure a spot, and remember, you can take unlimited rides on the bus for free, even without getting off.

Yes we got to eat some good meals there! The boy catching the food we made friends with that family. They were really nice! I also got to catch the food too but I had to stop filming so I could catch it lol! I hope you get to go visit there someday soon. I am sure you will love it! :)

I am from Canada and my Visa credit card worked there so I would assume that the same would be possible for an American Visa card as well. I don't see why it wouldn't be accepted.

It is an all inclusive resort. You don't have to pay once on the resort. You get a bracelet and you get to enjoy all the food and drinks you want during your time there.

How much did you pay per person?

Approximately $1500 Canadian per person, I booked it about 3 months out. I went last week in January. If you are able to book closer to last minute you might be able to find even better prices. I flew with Transat Vacations so included flights, 7 night stay and transport to and from the resort in Cuba. I would say well worth the price!

How far is the resort from the main drag of Varadero?

@@hatchz6 If you mean the centre of Varadero town it's about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. By bus it's longer as you have to stop at many resorts along the way.

Thanks for letting me know. That for sure is my footage re-used without my permission. That's never happened to me before! I guess it must be good footage if the guy stole it. It's a review in another language, so I don't think it should affect mine, and looks like a majority of the footage is his own assuming footage not taken from elsewhere! Hopefully you enjoyed my review regardless and I appreciate the in depth dive to identify the taken info! I can come back to this comment if needed in the future! Cheers! :)
