Pour fêter la première de Plus Près De Toi, saison 2017-2018, on a convié Ibeyi, les twin sisters Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz qui ont sorti ce vendredi Ash, un deuxième album plein d’invités nombreux (le saxophoniste Kamasi Washington, le pianiste Chilly Gonzales, la soul woman Me’shell Ndegeocello, la rappeuse espagnole La Mala…), de samples intégrés (de Michelle Obama, notamment, ou Frida Kahlo), et même de quelques passages auto-tunés (c’est surprenant, mais c’est très réussi !) Ce matin, sans autotunes mais avec beaucoup de monde tout autour (le Café Nova, clairement, était plein à craquer), on a eu le droit à l'interprétation de « Vale », de « Waves », et de ces deux extraits d’un second album qui se trouvera présenté, aussi, le 24 novembre au Casino de Paris, à l’occasion du Festival des Inrocks version 2017. En attendant, le live complet chez Nova, est à revoir.

I listened to this version of the song all the time while pregnant, it had so much meaning to me personally.. I had a little girl and one of her middle names is after my granny and this is her lullaby... I tell her nanna is the star watching you with the other ancestors... she’s proud of us and loves us always 🙌🏽 Thank you for giving them the platform to perform this beautiful song

lindsey dpt j adore aussi, va (ou retourne) les voir en concert, elles sont là elles chantent profitons en pour aller chanter avec elles, je viens de prendre mes places pour Rennes le liberté en mars (ce sera mon 3e concert d ibeyi, mon préféré fut le premier le fnac live à paris c était vraiment quelque chose! :)
