That only matters for the app,is it good or not. Not considering it’s on every device so yes. Though I use IOS better but have android which it’s battery ends at 2 percent. Recommend Procreate when you improved Ibis Paint X

@@Alex-rf4wu I don't quite get what that person means either, but they probably mean to say that they are too young to pay for $10 (which is 500 PhP). Basically, it already means "expensive" for them (being someone from the Philippines myself, most would _really_ call 500 for an app to be expensive, plus owning an authentic iPad with its cheapest being 15,000+ will make people call you rich) Tho I do understand that Procreate really is perfect for its price ^ ^ sorry, this was long. .. .

@@thesupersisters6415 procreate was a one time purchase and relatively cheap when I got it, and I didn’t know that you could clip or use layer settings on it at the time. Meanwhile, ibis had all these tutorial videos that showed me how to effectively use it from the start , making it seem a lot better than procreate.

Excuse me but which iPad do you use? I know I sound weird and creepy but I found a procreate Apple ID from a creator named ‘m u n g b e a n’ and you should totally check out their channel! She’s really cool and helped a lot of us :D This is not advertising if you really like a creator right? TwT

@@JamesJulier-Artist Yes I think so. 4-5 years ago when I got Procreate with a normal dumb stylus... it was a learning curve, but GOOD practice. Got the iPad Pro one year after realize and wow... I am getting better as Procreate gets better.

ive been using ibispaint for around 3 years, and i've just completely managed to ignore the ads. and i find it nice that you can keep the unlocked brushes for 18 hours! and ive gotten fast at going into editing canvases

I am a 12 year old too! And I can agree with your daughter. I have also been using ibis paint x for 2 years and not in a I pad and with a stylus. I use my finger and my 8 inch tab. tho I am happy with ibis :) I don't actually want to waste money on pro create, I pad and stylus. I tried making a stylus and it worked really smooth but I don't know why I use my finger instead of the stylus. I feel really comfortable with my finger :)

@@JamesJulier-Artist yea but that's not good enough if it doesn't have the functions I need. Also considering how many things of it are/will be blocked in certain countries. Not just for drawing since a tablet is of course more than that. And again, you pay for the brand, its far too expensive, esp when you save up money.

Honestly, I came from Sketchbook pro and felt the same... Procreate is absolutely worth it. Once you learn it, the features and ease of use are worth relearning a new app. It’s just the smoothest and most convenient to use Art app I’ve tried out of dozens and you get to a point where you can just make Art.. no speed bumps or clunky menus, everything is easy gestures, simple drag and drop or a few taps. You won’t be disappointed, I promise. Especially if you have an Apple Pencil... it’s absurdly smooth on procreate. Procreate was built for iPad and pencil, so it works the best.

So comparing all these two with Krita, which one may be user friendly to a beginner who likes ready made, easy to use, simple method that doesn't require lots of learning? Any suggestions?

@@seekfactsnotfiction9056 I'll go with Procreate out of the two. You'll only have an issue with using it at first if you've become used to cluttered UIs, but once you've gotten over the initial barricade, you will come to love its oversimplified layout.

Hey I don't know if you still need it but Krita is completely free and it's really great! I'm new so I still don't understand much, but many people say that it's one of the best free app and it's better than many of the paid ones... Someone told me that krita is similar to photoshop and has a lot of features. As I said I'm new and I still don't understand much of it but maybe you'll find it useful :)

oh ok!! I couldn't afford an iPad either so I bought a kinda cheap drawing tablet (xp-pen star 03 v2) and used my pc (windows, I don't have apple products, can't afford them). The tablet costed 50 euros (it's without screen so it's cheaper but it's really great).. If you have a pc for now you might consider using a drawing tablet without screen considering that they are kinda cheaper then everything else but they are great. You just have to get used to looking at you pc and drawing on a black screen.. I hope you'll find what's best for you :)

Procreate has more features and more professional. I personally use ibispaint, but procreate is definitely better. But ibispaint is still good its for begginers, for a free app ibispaint is probably one of the best with alot of features.

I feel like u have to look a LOT as a beginner if your using procreate but i like the concept tho. I like the messy options it's easier

For me its Ibispaint Bc Ibispaint is free Procreate is not And ibispaint Is on all devices( idk for computers) Procreate Is not its only for ipad And ibis paint is not only For anime it can be for editing Thumbnails Alot soo If your a starter ibispaint x is your best choice

@@JamesJulier-Artist You can customize interface in Artstudio: pin up color panel, layers, reference with navigatora all in once. You can customize your bt-keyboard shortcuts. There are no number of layers limitation. Lots of filters. Adjustment layers. Everything above is absent in Procreate. The only thing that is not in Artstduio yet is quick shapes, but developer is working in it. Also, brush engine is much closer to Photoshop in Artstudio.

Same, not sure if I should buy procreate or just get an expensive apple pencil to use with Ibis paint. I don't even know if I'll like procreate but I'm also scared that I've just gotten to used to using my fingers that I'll totally fail with the apple pencil

@@edenisok894 test ibis paint first and then if u like it don’t switch the Apple Pencil is worth it so try ibis paint but IMO I like procreate a million tries better

@Royale Ariana it must be Rupees 72+72= 144 for me cuz I live in india in india 1$ = 72 rs so I can buy tons of wafers packets in 144 , 1 packet = 5rs and also a lot of art supplies and stationary cuz here a pencil costs 5 rs So it might be expensive for me to even buy a 2$ stylus cuz here on Amazon the cheapest stylus costs 300rs and a I pad 40000 rs :'D i am good enough to draw on a 10000 rs tablet and a finger so I basically don't need it :3

Yeah... I have that issue too. I've found that if you make a large canvas (like for the 3x4 multiply both pixel things by 4 thats not an issue anymore)

Wait there's a difference between streamline and stabilization? I never knew that, whats different?

@@edenisok894 It’s hard to explain. But stabilisation is like the line is a few pixels slower behind your pen, making it feel very controlled, while streamline feels like it’s holding on to the line making it feel like your stretching it. Try downloading the free ibis paint if you have procreate and try it out :> I’m a clip studio user so Procreate just feels a tad bit unnatural

@@boi2805 oh, ok. I use ibisPaint. The stabilization in ibis isn’t just a few pixels behind, you draw the whole pen stroke and then it stabilizes(in my experience). It’s a bit confusing

@@edenisok894 Hmm, not it’s not really a few pixels behind, it’s hard to explain if you haven’t tried both, but Ibis paint stabilisation works the same with smoothing in photoshop and stabilisation in clip studio and paint tool sai. Its not really lagging pixels but it almost feels like the line is drawn slower than your stroke if you amp it up really high you get what I mean? Then procreate is like...the stroke adjusts depending on where your pen is hahhahhahahaahahha I’m sorry I’m rambling

I know you asked a long time ago an you probably figured by yourself... But if someone read it... ibis paint is definitely way easier to use for beginners, it has necessary features (I started there). By other had, Krita definitely is an amazing program, but for a beginner it would be overwhelming, because it has a lot of features that aren't easy to figure how to use them, ie. the bucket, if you don't configure it, it won't work how you want and it can be frustrating, the text tool is a little weird so if you want to make a comic, will make your work slow... I recommend using it after learning the basics of "digital art", cause with a little knowledge you can be able to play with the settings and experiment everything (or mostly) of the features that offers.
