Dwayne you are a really great dude. I frequently droping by your channel. In my life I have spent so many great vacations on the island. The first time on the island I was 21 and this is 27 years ago. My focus has evolved from clubbing every night to a more relaxed day drinking and enjoying the beeches nower days. The special Ibiza vibe is still the same and very unique for me. I will look out for you in June. Keep the great work 👍.

wow thanks for taking us along 🙂 I'm lying here in bed, feeling rotten and freezing cold in South Wales so this was an incredible bit of (nice) medicine 🙂 when you walke dpast the old Tanit and the aquarium I had to choke back a tear - spent so many happy times there. that hotel behind it was derelict when we used to visit there. how things have changed

Fascinating to hear your back story, so glad you've built a life for yourself on the island. First time I went I wanted to move there permanently but I was a lot older than you were, I had family and a really good paying job here in the UK so very hard to uproot. Later in life I did think about retiring there, or perhaps the Canaries, but Brexit put paid to that. Great to see you living the dream mate.

Really enjoyed this video Dwanye, In my opinion, you telling your story whilst walking in that beautiful scenery in January almost shows for itself why you moved there! Ive been to ibiza a few times with friends and september just gone I took my my Mrs, two kids and Mum but we werent so lucky with the weather but when the sun is shining there it truly is a beautiful island. I've always loves your videos and how you show another side to ibiza, especially the behind the scenes look at the clubs in the day time. They look so glamorous at night but less so in the day, but like you I love to explore stuff like that. I've always wondered how you got the access to these places as you do and how you ended up in Ibiza so this video is brilliant. I love how humble you are. New to the channel and loving the content. I’m working my way through the vlogs from the start after stumbling across this one a week ago. First trip was July 2000 - 2 weeks with 18 of us (most 17). Mambo / De Mar looked so different, the clubs blew my mind and Manumission so the best night I ever had. Some great tales about those 14 days but loving reliving the sites so far with you. 👏🏻 keep it going

Not surprising your favorite city is NYC, so is ours! We bought a villa in Ibiza some years ago (near Cala Corral, San Joseph)after visiting yearly for +20 years. The vibe in NYC, Amsterdam (our main residence), Miami and Ibiza is quite similar, live and let live, freedom and a cultural melting pot! Thanks for your great Ibiza insight, I thought I knew the place well but you’ve given me even more places to go to🙏

Never knew about Ibiza club news! Glad you started up again during Covid, kept me sane and a fair few others. Keep the ball rolling mate learn from the lows and enjoy the highs! We’re never far from either.

2008 was the last time I visited Ibiza, full gang of party goers from Belfast and beyond. Think it was the last after 5 years in a row. Due back in a few weeks after 16 years with family in tow, expecting a different experience 😂 Have been enjoying your videos in the run up 🫡

Great story mate. Can relate to it a lot (maybe not living there 😅) but first went in 2007 (18 Yr Old) and first club was Es Paradis and Eden. Havent been back since 2014 but yeah, amazing place, amazing people and amazing memories. Keep up the great work as per usual Dwayne 🤟🍻

Hey Dwayne. One of your best. Loved the story and it reminded me of two sayings. 'You make your own luck' and 'luck is opportunity meets preparation'. These days I am 65 and my health isn't great but I have had an amazing life, so far, partly because I took risks and put enjoyment and adventure before security and comfort. I have no idea what tomorrow will bring but I have a wealth of incredible memories and many stories that others think are made up. 😁 Keep doing what you do and if you have spare room, let me know 😂 Btw, your Ibiza guide is incredible. Love it when it's not busy. Went in 2001 & 2002 in September for closings for about £230 for 2 weeks last min. Didn’t have to book anything. Went to es paradise, eden, manumission, space. Loved mambo & es the best. Oh to go back....must be very different now.

Remember doing that walk back in around 2014 or 2015 and emergind behind the restaurant. Rememeber getting a bit lost at the tp but that gap in the small wall looks very familiar!

Such a small world. I worked ibiza in 2009 and my then girlfriend worked at Huddle Bar for Sean! I probably met you and never realised. I always thought Sean was Scottish as well because of his love for Celtic. Blackbeards next door was always my favourite bar, I went in there every year from 1999 to 2012! Gary was a legend!

Dwayne I love your videos, i was the one that recommended Doing the sugar scrub a few months ago😅 Your skin is looking great Im from NY I love your videos it excites me each time, I loved hearing your story about how you got to the island. I remembered you from the Doc “this is Ibiza” My dream is to move to Ibiza, in sure you hear this all the time but your story and my story i feel like is the same I can to Ibiza alone in Oct 2019, I stayed at pikes, and originally pikes was booked up, and out of the blue, the emailed me and said they had a room. My first couple of days I met some shady people , and I wasn’t feeling Ibiza , I also had a delayed flight😓 There was a tornado in San Antonio after the shady people, if you remember the tornado, but I was locked in my room bored. I’m sure your wondering at Pikes bored?? Eventually I went to the restaurant and that’s when the island hugged me and I met these great people from the UK (which I stilll communicate with) They took me to their room and the rest was history🥳🤩 The weather then got sunny the next day and i feel so I’m love, I definitely believe the island could haze you before it hugs you. My last night in pikes i was packing and partying for my bday, and i was histercslly crying in my room because i had one more night on the island and no clue where to go, and it was my bday blues, my neighbor invited me for a drink (which we still speak today) Best bday day, the next day everyone knew my name. So at 5 am Sunny came to my room looking for his friends, i was confused , and he asked where’s was I going because i was packing , i said idk i have one more night , he said I haven’t seen you this whole week , i said I’ve been here , and we partied until 11am with his friends, and he told me to drop my bags at reception and sleep at one the beds before you enter Freddie’s, i woke up at4pm and partied again . I went to the airport 7am and at both my flights go to NEW York i cried as if someone died. I was uncontrollable. And i know I mentioned parties, But i went to punts Galera , aguas blancas, es Vedra, atlantis, Ibiza town. (I would have done more but the tornado) and partied only at pikes. I love Ibiza for that feeling that’s unexplainable not just the parties. Then pandemic happened and all I can do is think Ibiza And that’s when I saw you in “this is Ibiza” I then came back to Ibiza in 2022, had an EVEN MORE greater time , discovered new place like cala Comte, cala hort, formentera etc. Cried again leaving Came back in 2023, discovered more, cried more leaving. All I do is talk about Ibiza with friends family strangers. I plan on coming back in 2024, I’ve been to Cuba, Tenerife, fuertaventura, Egypt , algarves, My parents are from Dominican Republic so I’ve been 😅Some states , there no place like IBIZA My question to you is how can I move to Ibiza? I need help if you can, I’m American and i need a job to move there and of course that means papers to get the job I know you said NY is your favorite place and i don’t want to take that from you , but i lived in NY 32years(my whole life) and this place is soul sucking, it gets worse every year, i feel Ike it’s the matrix’s and a big prison and only work and no nature, just traffic and pollution and crime. Of course I see the melting pot of cultures which im great ful for and New York has it’s great things, but if I could switch places with you i would in 2 seconds 😅😀😩 Anyway I love your videos and love you and all that you do, i know you said I the video you don’t trust people, i hope to meet you one day on the island or in NY , love to show you NY, i promise I’m not scary😅 But if there any avise you could give so I can move to IBIZA , because Im done with NY/AMERICA i do always here Ibiza gets quiet during off season, and it’s tough to make it in Ibiza , I love solitude , so I would be excited for winter, Work wise all I care about is able to stay in Ibiza , i wound care to be a millionaire , (of course that would be nice) but i just NEED to be on the island forever. It's good to hear your back story as i imagine most of us who watch ex pat vlogs fantasise about making the move abroad one day. How is it going now though, has it made you financially successful out there?

My first trip to we spent our last day diving off the rocks there and had squid in the restaurant 😊

What you say about the people on the island is interesting. How you need to be careful and not too trusting as they have ulterior motives. When I was on the island last year, I was told how people are unreliable and keep their word. So it's hard to do collaborations or business there.

There’s nothing more I’d want than to move to Ibiza. Brexit has absolutely SHATTERED any hopes I had of moving there 😢

My wife is always goingon about the cliff edges falling - I tell her her they have been there for 1000s of years, worrring to hear something has slipped down. I always feel anxious when I see people sunbathing under the cliffs at Sa Caleta....they ignore the danger signs.
