Faszinierend wie Klemens Krause das Orange der Gehäuse mit der Hose wiederspiegelt und das Hemd korrospondiert mit dem Plotter. Was mir an heutigen Rechnern fehlt ist diese Lebendigkeit, vom Ton und die tollen Lichtspiele....zigfach ästhetisch in Filmen eingesetzt.

Thanks 😊 It was usual at the time to have dedicated interfaces for each kind of device, and that is also true for the plotter. It has simply a couple of lines that give pulses to the motors and the pen magnet. So four lines for incremental steps (X left, X right, Y up, Y down) and two for the pen (up, down). That's it. The drawings have to be generated in software and translated to a sequence of movements.
@@cm_stuttgart Yes everything used to be proprietary (especially cabling and connectors) and I haven't really seen non-IBM aux devices added like this before, but now I see how it was possible and actually pretty straightforward 😄 Also, no "onboard optimization software" on this plotter yet to get upset about the host 😂Thanks for taking your time to explain!
