I remember Christmas of 1999, I begged my parents for the tangerine color. This was probably one of my most prized possessions of my teenage years. It's still in pristine condition sitting on my old childhood desk in my bedroom at my parents house. I wish they still made laptops in these fun, vibrant colors.
Make sure to power it on now and then. These old electronics are starting to break down, batteries are starting to leak and corrode and components like capacitors are starting to go bad as well. Unfortunately, electronics don't always age well. :(
@@hiker64 I do turn it on every now and again. I just powered it up back in July when I visited my dad, and it was taking a trip down memory lane with my old y2k music playlist I used to listen to when I was doing homework. I think I still have some old college essays saved on it and old graphic design programs I used to use.
For me it was iBook G4, I was too young when the original iBook came out but I had the exact same experience with the iBook G4, I remember I caused an earth quake with how hard I jumped up and down in the living room of excitement when I opened the package on Christmas of 2005 when I got it. Exactly like you I still have it stored in pristine condition in my old room in my parent's house. I love that machine so much, it introduced me to the internet and to so much more. It holds so many of my childhood memories, I remember playing the marbel and dinosaur game and browsing the built in encyclopedia for hours , that's how I discovered Beethoven's moonlight sonata!
Got myself a blue one of these. Pictures don’t really do it justice, such a striking and beautiful machine. Hope Apple brings color back to the MacBook line.
I so wanted to have the acid green back then but had to be happy with an indigo iMac (I was!) the price difference in Italian money then was too high, my mum was like eh, nice, but no. Still love it!
@Hordiyevych That's the way Apple used to make their notebook computers. They were upside to other people but right-side up when the user opened it up.
that was the mac golden age in my opinion. WHY doesn't any thing come in that many different colors anymore? cmon theres like 3 colors for the gameboy and the ds when there used to be like 8!

iPhone never came in more colours than it does now, imbecile. Back in the day (before your zoomer ass remembers) an iPhone coming out in white was considered a major feature.
