I've never looked in to Ibotta, but it sounds interesting. And you explain it so clearly that it sounds quite simple as well. Perhaps I'll have to give it a try!

❤ How do i can scan receipt online without using a smart phone? Can you please make a video showing how to get cash back from shopping at grocery stores online with door dash, uber eats, shipt and instacart grocery delivery services.

The only way I know of for uploading receipts is through a smart phone. I haven’t tried Uber eats or instacart, but as I try them out I will film more videos.

I have been using it about 10 yrs. Had issues in the early years, none in recent years. But if you do encounter an issue, they respond pretty quickly.

Sorry - I typed my response, but never hit the button to send it. I think I've only had issues twice in the 2 years I've used the app and it was right when I was new to it, so I probably made some mistake of some sort. It would be annoying and not worth the time if it happened often, but that hasn't been my experience.

I like your content, very useful. Actually, signed up for SoFi. On thing I would suggest is on the technical side, could you do something about the audio level being quite low? Again, thank you for all your videos.

I hope you like SoFi. I've been fiddling with different microphones to help with audio....I think I've got it figured out, so hopefully it will be better from now on. Unfortunately there's no way to adjust it once the videos are uploaded. But, thank's for watching despite the low audio.

Ibotta sounds interesting. I like that use can use it for online ordering too. Sounds easy to get cash back. I’ve only used Rakuten

If I am online shopping (for delivery) Do I have to shop through Ibotta to get the deals? Like Rakuten? Or if that store is linked will it just automatically give me my rewards once I purchase the item

Good question. There's a difference between online shopping and delivery. For both you are supposed to go through ibotta and choose your offers before you shop. If you're doing online shopping you choose your store in your app, select online, and select the shop button. It will take you to their store and you shop like normal....just like Rakuten If you're doing delivery, you choose the store in the ibotta app, select your offers, and order like normal. I hope that makes sense.

Let’s say that before going shopping I forgot to add the products at Ibotta. Can I do it latter after shopping the groceries?

If you are doing a grocery pick up you can’t add it after. But, if you’re shopping in store you could add it afterwards…as long as it’s before you upload your receipt

You explain this very well. I got through all the steps but then I can’t find the Ibotta offer products at Walmart. If the accounts are linked they should let you just add to cart. I keep having to look back and type it in exactly, and even then it doesn’t come up. I even put the price in and it didn’t come up. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure I completely understand your question. Are you trying to do walmart grocery shopping in store? Pickup? After you choose walmart in the app, it should show you all of the cash back options. Then you choose the ones you want and shop. I agree - letting you add to your cart would be a great feature!

Where does the Cash Back go? Do you need/get an Ibotta debit card?

Nope. It accumulates in the app. You can see your balance at a glance in the top right corner. Once you've reached $20 you can withdraw it. You can transfer it to a bank account, get a gift card, or to paypal.

I shop at dollar general, but when I go to submit my receipt, dollar general icon doesn’t show up?

Hmm..that's interesting. Did it show up before you shopped? You can link your dollar general account to ibotta so you don't have to upload a receipt, but it should still let you upload a receipt.

You do not have to pay taxes on the cash back...since you're just getting money back you've already spent. However, if you earn enough through referrals (over $600) that would probably require you to pay taxes.

I do the curbside pick up for Target and of course they do not give me a receipt. Ibotta will not let me link Target to my account. Please help. Thank you

They only offer cash back for target in store and for online shopping.. No pickup. I wish they offered it!

Sorry for the delay. You have to upload your receipt within 7 days of when you made the purchase. If it has been less than 7 days, you should be able to click 'redeem', choose the store, and then snap a photo of your receipt. In my app there is no option for Dollar General, just Dollar Tree and Family Dollar....but that could just be my location.

Why are they going to charge me for not using it? I’m in a rural area and sometimes they don’t have what is offered plus uploading the receipt from our grocery store is awful. I’ve had it rejected so many times it became a pain to use. How can I delete the account? I can’t find anything on my account in the settings that shows that I can delete it.

I don’t know why they would charge you- I’ve never seen that happen. If you want to delete the account you can contact customer service…or I believe they will deactivate it over time if you haven’t used it

Audio is extremely low...the problem is that when you turn it up to hear you, you end up getting your ears blasted out when the commercial starts.

That means you can redeem the cash back offer 5 times. For example...say the offer is $1 cash back on a box of cereal. You could buy 5 boxes of that cereal and get $1 cash back 5 times.

The only way to get cash back for restaurants at ibotta is buying gift cards for a restaurant. You do this the same as any other receipt...find the retailer first. The only apps that come to mind offering cash back on actual restaurant dining is fetch, upside, and rakuten dining. I hope that helps!

It can be deactivated if you violate their terms of use. Usually this means uploading a fake receipt or having two accounts on one device. Sometimes it can get deactivated accidentally. You should still be able to access your cash back by submitting a ticket to them via their chat.

Suppose you just want the items you purchase on a weekly basis and not just items they're offering.

If you want to get cash back you have to select items they're offering. You can still purchase anything else...you just wouldn't get cash back on those items.
