Assalamualaikum! Subhan Allah!!! While i was looking for chapter name at 27:57 (time)- As it is Surah Zukhruf verse 26( وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّنِى بَرَآءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ ٢٦), the speaker did not say the last word تَعْبُدُونَ ٢٦ instead he said MIMMA TUSHRIKOON). My intention is only to make correction and gain knowledge-May Allah SWT accept from us ( AAMEEN )

I'm sorry, I feel the need to make a stupid point: what on Earth would you be fearing STONES for unless they're rolling down on top of you? I don't really get the idea of making something with your own two hands and then worshipping that thing. It feels, I don't know, cheap? But if Abraham's (peace be upon him) father was a Pagan, how did Abraham learn any different? PS: Equally stupid, maybe: how do you tell the difference between a punishment and a test?

The example of why they did fear the statues is explained in the story of Noah of this same series, episodes 7,8 and 9 if I am not wrong. The difference between a punishment and a test is that tests bring you closer to Allah, and punishments, even if it meant you to become king of the world, make you forget your lord

What I was thinking, though, wasn't Nimrud the idiot who tried to make the Tower of Babel, or am I confusing him with another idiot? I also read the first chapter of the Qur'an this week, and it gives the example of "Create a mosquito if you are truthful," and it makes me think, "Heck, create as much as a SEED, which can't move on its own." Or less: create a germ. Or less, create a proton. We just can't, you know? Not from scratch.

#PeaceForPalestine I'm not kidding: Israel is committing war crimes left, right, and centre. Kidnapping is a war crime, deliberately targeting civilians is a war crime, bombing cities is a war crime, KILLING CHILDREN is one trillion percent aa war crime. Duh.
