Well my first was the 991a. I love it. Still my most versatile rig I own.. You really can't beat it for its awesome features and receive for Hf and its ability to do 2m /440 also.. The question is do you need the 2m/440?.. If I could only have one it would be the 991a just cause it has both and I can use it in the shack or even when camping. It's just really versatile... The 7300 is nicer on the scope and waterfall. It's a beautiful display and a good Hf radio and in my opinion easier to operate some functions than the 991a. If you have 2m 440 already in the shack the 7300 may be better.. It's really a tough decision ... Because I want and love them all lol
@@AK4PJ That answers my question. Having limited space and budget I shall go for the 991a. I don't multitask being pretty old and so I would only listen to one band at a time. If I really wanted to listen on two I could use my SDR on the computer. I want to explore all bands and air would be interesting because I live near a big airport.
