idk something rubs me the wrong way about all the "omg this is like summoning a demon" "im scared haha" "this sounds like a song from hell" because it has a really important meaning - a lot of ic3peaks songs are about how terrible the russian government is.
I'm on the same boat. I get where they're coming from but uh, just know that Ic3peaks are singing a serious thing. Idk I'm Russian so it makes me feel eh towards the comments
For the people saying “I’m scared I’ll summon a demon, You are not,This band is talking about the Russian government and how bad they are,This band is on the blacklist because of there music. There basically exposing the Russian government,A blacklist is when a government wants to kill someone.Shes risking her life while making this music,Because her music is banned in Russia. The line “The whole russia is watching me” means that the government is trying to track her down,And the line “fill my eyes with kerosene let it all burn let it all burn” she predicted something,Because a few months after she made this song a girl set herself on fire with kerosene because of the Russian government,This music is not “emo” or made for “edgy teens” it has a whole different meaning to it,So don’t use it as an “aesthetic”.
@@cxnt88 im sorry i cant make a full reply because im from Poland so i know about the Russian government but not that much but so technically 1. Poverty the government is taking way to much money 2. Police are horrifyingly brutal killing people by the minute 3. They ignor serious problems and instead focus on money This group is trying to expose all these problems and tell people don't live in Russia or help us listen to some of ic3peaks songs and research Russian government And it might help understand
Dnnddjsk Hdjnejsdj My advice is to read through the transliteration, saying everything the best you can. Then break it up into parts, and practice each part once a day for two days each. Practice a day longer for the parts you struggle extensively on. Then try putting it to music. It’ll take a bit to speed up to the music, but you’ll get there.
I know people think that lyrics and song is scary in like a demonic way,but it actually has a meaning behind it-they're talking about how corrupted and messed up the russian government is,for example 'I fill my eyes with kerosene, let it all burn'-goverment seeing problems in the country but closing their eyes on them,or 'with gold chains on my neck I'm sinking in this swamp'-there are so many gold and other elements in Russia but half of a country still lives in poverty,so yeah,no matter how scary you think the song is it's actually worse
I get this is exposing the Russian government and she’s risking her life writing this music, but it’s still music. People are going to listen to this because they like it too. Some of these comment are saying people can’t like this because she’s exposing the Russian government, but still. Let people listen to music. Explaining isn’t the same as gatekeeping
I’m saying this because this song gives me voice euphoria or whatever it’s called and I hate that people are saying you can’t listen to her songs just to listen to them
@@anita7975 You are compeletly right! Not all songs are about love and partying and people need to realise that. Im from one of russias many neighbour countries and yea russias gouverment is questionable, but this is still just as much of a song as any other

Nah mate, don’t. Russian is a Phonetic language. Learn the alphabet (takes maybe a few weeks) and the rest is easy~ just continuous repetition and you’ll have it down.

don’t attack me but some of y’all are taking this a bit *too* seriously. yes the meaning behind it is sad, but can you maybe stop trying to gatekeep people from genuinely enjoying the song? istg every comment about the song being good that doesn’t say anything about the meaning gets a bunch of replies basically saying you’re not allowed to like this song as a song. i understand this isn’t “aesthetic mafia boss pov” shit, its real life and the russian government sucks. and i know shes endangering herself by making it but that doesn’t change the fact that its a song.
Melware Some people consider my fashion style ‘edgy’ I don’t really act edgy until it comes to suicidal thoughts or overthrowing the government, but I understand and respect what they’re doing to make this and sucky their living conditions are
If more poeple use it, more poeple will know abt the song and eventually find out the meaning tho. Although I understand what you mean, not using the song isint gonna help
@@eyeball6168 agreed. I totally understand the comment and that this song is serious but tbh I only searched for it because I like how it sounded. Just found out what it means. So the aesthetic videos might be annoying or disrespectful in a way but they're not 100% bad and wrong
I understand that this is meant to be taken seriously, but think about it: If more teens out there were to use this as background vids in their own edits, tiktoks, dance vids or whatever, that'll give ic3peak more publicity and therefore more awareness?
I love how this song hits. You know they're talking about how terrible the government is in Russia, and in my opinion you can feel the frustration and the sort...of hopelessness in it. It's sad but it's still just....mmmmh. It's so good
I love this song. It is about an important issue. This song makes me think about how my parents and grandparents lived years ago in Russia in poverty. There were times they ate jam/sirup with water so that they dont hunger. Life and surviving was hard for them. They travelled to Germany in hope of a better life and so that my uncle doesn't have to go to the military. They must have took all the money together that they had. In Germany they were still poor but life slowly got better. Now here I am with my parents, sisters and my grandparents healthy and with enough food. I am so grateful and happy that they will get old not worrying about surviving. I hope you understand the text cuz English is not my mother language (sorry ^^) Thanks for reading
love how everyone in this comment section is wanting to learn russian. it's my second mother language (first is ukranian), and i can tell you that russian is really pure and beautiful language, so good luck to everyone who really decided to learn it!!!
Ive been slowly learning it for about a year now,And I get exited every time I understand something someone in a movie or something sais in russian.Im trying 😂
oh, my second language was Ukrainian! i was born in Lugansk and kinda learned both Russian and Ukrainian at the same time owo i've only been learning English for two years, and i'm starting learning a new language - Spanish. tbh, i've already almost forgotten Ukrainian due to lack of practice gwg it's too hard for me to handle all these different languages...
I want to learn it. I know it's a difficult language to learn, but how difficult do you think it'd be for someone whose first language is English? Thanks. (:
Was introduced to IC3PEAK through this song. Fell in love with them. Have to read their lyrics translated though lol. Much love from the US. IC3PEAK is awesome. Hope they come play in the US some day. Can you imagine a thousand people dancing to this song in a crowd? Would be amazing.
IC3PEAK is risking their life for this. They're going against the russian government. singing songs like this is illegal. i doubt they will be coming the the US anytime soon but we can hope.
Ina V It's going against the russian government. everything they're saying and doing in the video is going against the government which is punishable by death.
I kept seeing kids comparing here to Billie. This woman is way above her, Billie is no where close to her. I'm reading about how she's risking her life to expose the government.
Here’s the lyrics for anyone trying tah learn dis: (I’m Russian btw lmfao)
Vladimir Lenin nah its just because we russians borrow a lot of english words and use them in our speech, even though we have russian synonyms. I wouldn’t be saying the word кофта myself, for example, I’d just say hoodie XD
actually 1:04 has drastically different meaning. If you translate it literally, it means "and i will curl up in my new dwelling", meaning that "curl up" is to die, and "new dwelling" is a coffin.
Wow, it’s almost like music is a form of art that is subjective and up for interpretation. It’s almost as if a song can be about a dark topic but still have content using it that doesn’t directly pertain to said topic. That’s crazy, it’s almost like songs have different meanings for different people and are meant to be enjoyed in different ways. But yeah, everyone who makes content expressing their appreciation and interpretation of art is just edgy and stupid. We should definitely make fun of them, especially if their kids. I think it’s really great to shame people for liking something, that really helps give it more attention. Gatekeeping is great! And because I know the average person in this moronic comment section doesn’t understand nuance in the slightest, I will clarify the obvious, and point out this is all being said sarcastically.
Appreciate the fact that they’re risking their life by putting those songs on the internet they are not just songs they are about exposing the Russian government and they banned them for “spreading propaganda “
This song- it makes me feel like it's really hard to explain this song gives me a scary/sad vibe i feel pain here i just really cant explain how i feel like the whispers and when the girl screaming with the whispers it makes me feel creeped/scared screaming for help or something can't explain
There's a good reason for that This song, a lot of their songs, are basically a cry for help They're trying to expose the Russian government for what it is, corrupt, and they're suffering because of it This music group was put on the Russian blacklist for this project, which is something you never want to be on. They are literally risking their lives to make this music. I apologize if you already knew this, but I think it's better to spread the information.
Yes this song Is about how corrupt the Russian government is, and yes they are risking they're lifes exposing russias social problems. But it is a song, people are going to enjoy the song despite the meaning. The singer of IC3PEAK themself said they don't mind people using they're songs as aesthetics, animations and other things. Infact they said they enjoy it as it's getting her songs [and the bands] out there to more people. So yeah let's just let people enjoy the song
If it weren’t for the animations, I would have never known about this. My whole view on Russia changed. It just feels weird knowing I watched a cute animation about an oppressive government where the singer is seriously putting their life on the line to make it.
I am Slavic and have some Russian blood and can also relate to the songs they make and I agree. It would be nice for people to not romanticize it,call it "edgy" and stuff like that bc it has a meaning and it's a cry fot help. Enjoying their songs it 100% ok and normal In fact I have been a fan for a few years.
people keep saying that like there scared there going to end up summoning Satan or a Demon but Russian isn't the language you would normally do that with. Yes Russian might sound like a creepy language but Latin is the language that you would summon a Demon with or to summon Satan their selves. You would have more luck summoning a Demon from Latin rather than Russian.
Her voice is beautiful! I hope she is OK in the end, due to this song both exposing the government and going against the laws. Please stay as safe as possible IC3PEAK!
Guys I know there are so many comments about how her song goes against the Russian law, and stuff, but I wanted to say this because comments could get lost, deleted, or removed off the video. I just wanted to help spread awareness.
As a Russian myself (Moved to US at 3, parents lived in Yekaterinburg their whole lives) i understand that music like this, or anything speaking about our government in general can get you killed, but those of us that don't live there should still be allowed to enjoy a song, especially since most of you wouldn't be able to know what it meant if there were no subtitles.
yes, we get it. She’s risking her life, she’s probably still on the blacklist. But some people just want to vibe to this song without being judged. Let them be.
@@oksanathompson5771 Huh wdym? , I'm pretty sure shes still alive, judging by what I've heard shes off the blacklist . And that shes alive bc both of their igs have posts
Yeah, let’s help spread the message by gatekeeping who’s allowed to listen to the music and how they’re allowed to interpret it! That will definitely help them with their oppressive government. Because, as we all know the best way to help spread a message is to throw a pissy fit whenever someone interprets art differently than you.
Just out of curiosity, what does "brocken" mean? Lmfao Note: I'm just fucking around, I'm not actually being a grammar Nazi here, I know what ya meant.
Honestly, I find this band to be extremely brave for these songs. Imagine risking your own life just to show people just how horrible your home country is. It's sad, but really brave.
@Mr Mistah the us is not better. Yes my life maybe would be better and I wouldn't starve in my shitty country but I'm at least not afraid going out without fear of getting killed. The grass is always greener on the other side but as dissapointing it is grass isn't green anywhere
Publicity about one country's shitty corrupt government just means that there's less attention on the rest of them I guess. I hope you're safe and doing well 💖
@Mr Mistah holy shit dude i get what you're trying to say but you found the most horrible way possible to say it, american culture is chokingly artificial and poisonous, replace the word "culture" with "governments" so people don't interpret your comment as that of an American supremacist
It's a metaphor for the Russian Government. I think its saying the Russian Government is the cop, careless to the sweeter things in life that they destroy.
I know how it is to see cat get run over by car. I had in total 8 cats, three of them got run over (i saw it once) next one is missing and next one left by itself. And i still have three live cats.
this is not ‘aesthetic’ this is so freaking scary, she is clearly in danger. SHE IS RISKING HER LIFE TO BRING AWARENESS TO THE CORRUPT SYSTEM IN RUSSIA!!! how do we help like i an so scared for her rn
ok i agree but a song is a song. how are we supposed to know abt it if we don’t listen to it. plus you’re in the wrong if you don’t know that this happens. it’s been on the news many times over many decades and if this does get recognition nobody is gonna do anything

i dont see how anyone finds this song at all like demon summoning- literally nothing in the lyrics reminds me of that Now songs where they and sing ''with this match and this bucket of blood, i'll paint my way to victory and burn the ones i had loved'' I can see THAT getting interpreted in SEVERAL ways, one including possible demon summoning. But none of this song gives me any of that vibe.
@@1SKRAAC1D i- Wh a t? If anything, LATIN (which im passionate about learning) is more likely to be attributed to demon summoning- like... WHAT? Russian = demon???? wh???
It basically is a cry for help, shs is exposing the russian government, as they arent treating russia in the right way but honestly taks it as you wish
