iCarly Reboot: Miranda Cosgrove Talks Jennette McCurdy's Absence, What's Happening With Sam 

Its heart warming how the actors respect Jennette and her decisions.

She’s close to all of the actors, it’s just her experience with Dan Schneider that screwed her over. He’s screwed many young women

They had better not just say: "Oh, Sam's in jail." I'll be pissed if that is the case.

They literally said “Let’s all age and not tell Jerry”

they are so respectful talking about her and love how they respect her decision.

Everyone is so ageless, only Nathen Kress is the only one that looks older but looking at Jerry Trainer it's like he never aged despite him being the oldest.

They said multiple times of "respecting Jeanette’s decision”. It really makes it feel as if she went through something traumatizing.

"I mean that elevator door is always open." I do hope that one day Jennette will be in a place where she's willing to come back for at least a guest appearance. Glad to hear them all respecting her and her decisions!

At least "Sam" is technically part of it, I mean she is one of the og character.

Apparently Jennette’s “stage” mom put a lot of pressure on her to act because she was the main source of income for the family, which made her kind of resent acting. Not to mention all her experiences with Dan Schneider...

I love how much this cast respects Jeanette's decision. It's nice to see them take it seriously vs when Fuller House just made jabs constantly at the Olsen twins for not returning.

I still can’t believe that Miranda is 28. It doesn’t look like she’s aged at all since the show ended Edit: I’m not saying 28 is old, because it’s not, I’m saying that she still looks like she’s 18 years of age.

Honestly, for what she went through with nickelodeon and Dan Schneider, I can't blame her decision.

I'm sad that Sam won't be in the reboot but I totally understand why Jennette McCurdy didn't want to return and I respect her decision. Besides, according to the writer there will be explanation why Sam isn't there. Either way, I'm excited for this. As a fan who grew up watching the show, it's nice to see these characters back on screen again. I hope they treated the characters the way the older fans wanted to be

Jerry seems like he would be such a great friend or husband. He always seems so genuine when he speaks and truly seems to enjoy life and he's so funny! I hope what I perceive is true and I'm excited to see him on screen again.

Fun Fact : Jerry Trainor is 45 years old now. Yeah I said it, 45 freaking years old and looks the same since iCarly first premiered. Dude hasn't aged a bit.... 😱😱

Guys before judging, you should listen to her podcast “Empty Inside”. She talks about how traumatizing her experience as an actor was. She was abused and her mother devalued her mental health. Let us celebrate her accomplishments getting through it

ICarly and Victorious were my childhood😭 Hopefully they make a reboot of Victorious. Best shows on teen Nick. Miss 2010’s. Gonna miss Jennete on the show, she was the best and made it more funny and added more character. Hopefully one day she comes back.

I love how they emphasize the fact that they respect her decision. It would be so easy for them to kick her back in, but they chose not to, which is amazing.

given what we know now about jennette's experience in acting, i think we can all understand and respect why she isn't pursuing it further. so proud of how far she's come.

I mean I'm not going to lie like we all know why she decided not to be on the show it's not just because she had other things going on. She is literally stated multiple times that she would literally forced into acting by her mother as a young child not to mention basically taken advantage of by Dan Schneider while filming the show. And she's talked about it many many many many many many times so I mean we can't just say it's because she has other things going on she feels uncomfortable being on the show because of the things she had to deal with as a kid when she was on the show. I could be wrong but she's literally said it many times

I highly and definitely respect Jennette's decision of her not wanting to come back on the iCarly reboot. I'll let Jennette move on. I still love Jennette abundantly no matter what.

The fact that the elevator door is always open for Jennette is heart-warming and could hint on some potential in her return when she's ready or at least when the writers decide to recreate her character into something she is comfortable portraying in. Sam did have a twin-sister that was her polar opposite.
