Little tip for new players watching this a bit later: One of the best Tier 1 food when leveling up IMO is the Bacon you sometimes get from Wild Boars Once cooked in the camp fire, it becomes "Cooked Bacon", which will give you a flat 75 stam + 75 health, which is somewhat decent, but will also greatly increase your % of XP gained. Pretty essential for leveling a new character up I think. Good vid! Edit: Also, the "% stamina consumed by actions" is much more OP than it may seem. It's not "stamina consumed by TOOLS actions", but just actions in general. This therefor includes, but is not limite to, sprinting and jumping stamina consumption. Sweetcorn soup is very useful if you plan to run a long distance (doing exotics run, moving to a new base, etc), as it will make that trip much more manageable And, finally, the "% Melee attack damage" I believe is not only for weapons, but also works with axe and pickaxe when chopping trees / mining, making thing a bit faster :)

I didn't include cooked bacon in the Tier 1 recap, and totally correct i should of, i do at about 35 min include it in the Tier 2 recap, and some other experience foods, i would get there as fast as possible in your first playthrough when your very low level, and get at least 2 buffs for +30% experience gained, the 3rd buff is not as easy at the beginning of the game cause you can't get strawberries if your just starting out, which is when your going to care about experience gain.

Don’t forget the drying rack in tier 1. The different dry meats give different buffs.

I agree you are correct, I show the drying rack at about 5 mins in, but I didn't spend much, if any time on this because i find with the time it takes to dry meat, the either 75 or 100 you get to a single stat (health or stamina) and the 1 other secondary stat besides -25%food consumption just do not stack up next to cooked food. The cooked prime meat buff beats any of the dried meat buffs hands down. Other then the -25% food consumption buff, i don't see a point to the drying rack at all... i've never wasted my time on it, due to food consumption not being a problem, and the other buffs gained by drying out the "specialty meats" is a waste of those meats against the cooked prime meat buff. I also find I move past all tier 1 foods into tier 2 rather quickly, if it took longer to level up, or longer to achieve tier 2 buildings and bench's, i would see a point, but i didn't .... Now that they have changed a bunch of things in the food with this game since i produced this guide, i will be doing a 2nd edition of this food guide, I'll endeavor to show the drying rack, but my take on it probably won't change.

In my experience, if the food stats match then they are all applied as the same buff, so eating gamey meat, stringy meat, white meat and fatty t-bone all apply to the same buff, not 4 separate buffs. Same with veggies. Eating strawberry or wild berry apply to the same buff, but are a separate buff from the meat buff. They also have a different timer max. But I agree, I watch my buffs, not my food health. Also, the drying rack is a waste. skip it. And if you are active hunting, meat is never an issue. I dump most of it.

Yes, all of those are under the "Cooked Prime Meat" buff. Under the core bonuses that each food in the game provides [under the ingredients listed at the top] you'll find a note in white lettering, it says "provides the xxxxx modifier for xxx seconds", just under that is the name of the buff is listed again, you can only have 1 of those buffs {around the 3:20 min mark}. Strawberry and wild berry gives the "Berry modifier", most of the food modifiers are different, but there are some that are the same and they won't give 2 buffs... same buff - same food, no matter what its made from. I think i mention the drying rack is really only useful if your not going to make crafting tables and get a kitchen going, i agree not much use, cause you can always just cook it in a fire and meat is plentiful, drying rack food does not last longer than cooked prime meats, never really understood that... but hey i just play the game....

D and Wee Gaming how to craft a Berry Bar?
@D_and_Wee_gaming
@D_and_Wee_gaming 10 месяцев назад
The Berry Bar is made in pocket/on your character in the crafting tab, with 10 berries and any 10 seeds. It was added in august week 88 update with a couple other foods to take advantage of the Seeds they added in that update, i really need to update this food guide, but i was waiting for all the changes to the food system/farming system.
