I honestly feel the basic rain water filter needs some work! Cause it uses charcoal all time and only fills water when I rains and has charcoal in it! Means we need to be nearby during rains to fill the charcoal!
Yah personally id just use the water variant, it works all the time when you want it. I think it should also not use charcoal unless its filtering water but maybe they will fix that.
I drink the most perfect spring water. Filtered by rocks and delivered to my mountain villa chilled to perfection. Without the need of extra purification and filtration ... Now why would I need anything more than boiling water in game ?!
Very thorough informative video! I feel they really need to add more missions, unique missions at that. Maybe the new DLC will spark my interest again. Keep up the great vids! I feel like every video you do just gets better and better.
Like the improved relevance to hot drinks! Water types - mild caring but largely indifferent. The small bit about having the maintenance for power devices absent on easy brings up an idea. It would be nice if instead of easy, normal, hard, they added specific toggles for particular things to let different aspects of the game have separate difficulties. That would let you turn off the ponderous maintenance stuff by setting it on easy, but keep other aspects (predator prevalence, stats etc) on a separate difficulty like hard. Unless everything is set to hard, you don't get the reward bonuses, and if anything is set to easy you get the reward penalties. Then we could better adjust our play to suit what we are looking for. Josh, thank you, as always, for keeping us in the loop. I'm confused, though. Shouldn't you be able to install the electric filter at the incoming water source and hook up the filter to your new water catchment system? Otherwise, what do we need the new catchment/storage system for?(Not really expecting you to know, just wondering is all.)
The new storage and water catcher I can imagine is for areas not close to water sources etc. where you can collect water and store it even if its not around you. The purification always goes into a vessel (canteen, Skin) from what I tested, not the barrel etc sadly. It would be awesome to store large amounts of drinkable water though.
Lets make a game like the original promo trailer. Water In love with Icarus. But the way things are going, to have the game that we all expect when first trailer came out, it will need a bunch of paid DLCs at the same price of the game. Just bought Frontiers this week. And now im playing on a world that i was suposed to be since the game launchs. Im so happy that i ignored the fact Prometheus has wolfs. Wolfs. In my mind are just dogs that the first prospects leaved there and they became savage.
I loved Prometheus tbh. But yah, they seem to be hiding a ton behind DLC's, heck the best beds and lights in the game are in a DLC. I know they got to keep the lights on but, it seems intentional and the direction the game is going.
O yea... excellent, 4 water purifiers, 4 different type of water. I think we still need some more... Looks like these guys working hard to take fun out of the game and make it more complicated as it is now, just like bathesda did with some games.
Yep but you only really need one of the devices to get the best water, the t4 one. After that you just go to that device and swap out a canteen, which isn't too awful hard, just gone are that days of drinking fish poo water XD
I always appreciate a game putting out decent updates. But I feel like their updates are leaning towards the "Survival forever just because" player. I used to live on this game. But lately, it just seems a little lost on me.
Does anyone know how you untaint a container once it has had tainted water? You cannot empty it as such and even if you finish it and refill with treated water the debuff remains? I think it is just a bug, but thought I would ask.
so they need to send you the dlc for free for you to make a video, huh? or, here is an idea, since you make a profit out of playing the game you could support them buy buying the dlc. you know, like everyone else. just an idea…

He's been making videos for Icarus for a very long time, promoting and covering their game. Streamers often get free game keys and such all the time because it more than pays for itself with exposure. It's not a very difficult marketing strategy to understand. Loosen up buttercup.
Sorry, the above deserves a RANT. Josh usually buys all his games and his wife Dee's. So double the cost to stream. If streamers were not there we would be back watching Tv. This channel is promoting the game for the developers, it would not hurt for them, to send him a key. They have been streaming for hours at a time, I think from the launch of the game practically every week. Josh didn't get keys for Frontiers, a lot of so called big youtubers did. They hadn't played Icarus before AT ALL. That takes the piss. Well... that's just my opinion. We are all entitled to our opinions. In this case a free Key isn't entitlement, I'd call it a ''Thank you from RocketWerkz" end of rant.
I can see others have answered the question for me, but ill take a crack at it. Sorry I was up till 9am in the morning getting this video out and tagged. Yes after buying everything for two people (two Supporters Editions Included & other DLC's...) I'm no longer buying the DLC's because the way the game is going, and because I'm financially struggling atm (mostly this one). But don't worry, they haven't showed a bit of support to this creator for over 2+ years now, so If I want the DLC ill have to buy it, just like you, twice, even though we probably have made them thousands over the years. You can take that however you want, it don't concern me, but in the business world that's a poor decision for the dwindling views we get, so we have to look at it that way, and I don't see them being a good investment. Imagine every single Thursday into Friday morning you stay up late instead of going to bed with your spouse, just to get a video out & not getting more then say $6 for that video. We get $3 per 1000 views on Icarus. Huge Profits... Now do it for 113 weeks straight, that's us atm. Thanks for the comment, it helps with the algorithm. =)
