Which forced India to have top order batsman as WK, this allowed us to play one more top order batsman, which is shreyas iyer. This set up saved us from 2 crucial battting collapse. But if Rishab was there, being a star he would have been automatic pick and we would be batting 1 batsman short. 2. Hardik Pandya got injured and Mohd Shami come in and doing wonders. With hardik India was going by play sage approach having 6 six bowlers. Now we have 5 specialist bowlers, which also allowed us to have 1 specialist batsman SKY instead of all rounder. these 2 changes are not planned by think tank of India but forced on us but turning out to be right changes. Same is the case now also. Before 2023 Mens ODI cricket WC started I felt 100% sure that India will surely reach Semis (playing 100% matches in Home conditions).
