I don’t understand how I’ve gone my entire life without getting a mold-a-matic. This is right up my alley,but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a machine.

I saw one at the LA zoo when I was like 8 but I never got one. Now they're pretty rare and in all the amusement parks I've gone to I haven't seen one.

The field museum and Brookfield zoo in the Chicago area still have them. The field only has three I think. Brookfield has a ton.

Fond memories when I was a kid as I used to live in Illinois western suburbs! And of course the smells of the mold-a-rama machine, I’ll never forget that 👍🏻😊

On the Gorilla family tree sign, Ramar, the mate of Koola, was the first gorilla at the North Carolina Zoo, arriving back when the zoo opened in 1974. He stayed at the zoo for 24 years before being moved to Brookfield in 1998. As the sign says, he only died in 2018.

When I seen the lion sleeping, I started thinking..."A wee ma weh, a wee ma weh, a wee ma weh......." Now the song is in my head. Zoos are so memorable to us. NC Zoo in Asheboro is one of the largest in the world and it's the one I am most familiar.

I love how you love mold-o-ramas . As a kid I used to go to museums and loved those things. Should have named this episode:how many mold-o-ramas did Jacob get? Lol . God thing you had all those pockets! The answer is 11. You got 11 awesome molds.

The cave elk is the infamous megaloceros or the Irish elk! These guys died out fairly recently only 7,700 years ago! So close to seeing them!Love the Brookfield zoo!

Next time you’re in New Mexico, you should stop in Edgewood (right off I-40) and check out the Wildlife West Nature Park. All of the animals there are rescue animals and respond to their names. The animals there are very interactive with people.

Love Brookfield --- I also grew up with that zoo, and Lincoln Park Zoo. BTW -- I'm pretty sure that insect on the carousel was actually a cicada.

You might want to carry a small tote bag with you to places where you think you might be making a bunch of Mold A Ramas or just purchases in general. That way you won't have to stuff them all in your pockets and worry about breaking them.

I love going to Brookfield Zoo! I live like 45min from Chicago. Wish I could meet ya Carpetbagger! Edit: Youre so lucky with all the activity. I have been a trillion times and only a few times they were so active. I still have my blue TRex mold-a-rama. I remember when they cost $2, $5 is a bit steep.

Still hope one day I'll see a Mold-a-rama or Matic in Blighty, would be so much cooler than a lot of the stuff you can get now. Now you just need a Carpet bagger version for the merch store, could even multicolour them with mixed plastic pellets.

hey everyone I just wanted to let you know that the bird aviary at the nc zoo is permanently closed because it would cost $100 thousand dollars for repairs and some of the birds have already been sent to other zoos around the USA have a great weekend and please be safe and kind to everyone

14:38 If you go to Horse Cave, KY, there is a place called Kentucky Down Under. They have kangaroos there, except they are friendly, cuddly like dogs, and they will let you in the cage with the kangaroos and let you pet them and feed them.

Awww absolutely love that wee feline at 5:50 😻 reminded me so much of a beautiful feral cat I cared for with the same appearance and mannerisms. Laughed at 6:41 "Mr Lion you are big and beefy and sleepy" 😂 lions are stunning. That sea lion was adorable 🥰 the orangutan staring at you was intimidating 😅 the Mold-A-Rama machines are so cool and glad you got so many! 😀 Thanks again Jacob and best wishes ☀️

Somewhere, I have a picture of me at about six years old drinking from that lion water fountain. I can also remember the Mold O Rama costing 75 cents. And in my humble opinion, the snack shack at Brookfield zoo has the best hotdog in Chicago.
