I guess the rolls turned out fairly well considering that the liquid water content from the fruit will make it want to shave rather than roll - the reason most prefer a higher fat content that a larger cream ratio brings. Also why vegan is so much harder to roll . Good job.
Dragon fruit looks far more appetizing than it tastes ... the flesh tastes like a mild and underripe kiwi, minus all the bright refreshing notes of gooseberry. So far, ive tried the variety with white flesh inside, but there are other varieties. With my eyes closed, i'd choose kiwi every time. UPDATE: I live quite a ways north of where these fruit normally grow, and its also not in demand or regularly seen here, so I assume most of my experience to date with DF has been less than optimally ripe, because ive since sampled a sweeter one. It was v.good ... but I still prefer yellow flesh kiwi, TBH.
@@SE-gs6gd Sweetness is not my primary criteria - flavor is. I personally enjoy yellow or green flesh kiwi more than the DF ive tasted to date ... which is about a dozen.

Too bad dragon fruit is so bland :( It’s so beautiful and I love the texture. I’ll admit, I’ve only had the white flesh kind fresh, is the version shown here more richly flavored? I know I’ve had dragon fruit teas and juices that had a lot of flavor, but I never know if it’s the dragon fruit or the combination of fruits since it’s never by itself.

You can remove the fruit out of the skin using your thumb after slicing it in half. You leave some if you scoop it. You just have to press your thumb on the side, just like in avocado, follow the circular motion, once done you just have to press the bottom so it pops out. That way, you have more meat.

Aquí en Costa Rica, es pitaya o pitahaya, y a los 3 tipos se les llama igual, hay 2 de este mismo color por fuera(rojo); y por dentro una blanca y otra roja, y luego también la que es amarilla por fuera y blanca por dentro. Esos son los tres tipos cultivados acá no se si es existen más.
@@lewisguerra2664 hay 2 "pitaya" y "pitahaya" la pitaya puede ser la blanca por dentro sin espinas y también la roja por dentro con espinas, pitaya blanca viene de un árbol, pitaya roja viene de un cactus ambos son de México y América central, y se supone que "pitahaya" es la amarilla, fruta del dragón etc son sobre nombres que tienen
