Friday is a classic of the culture this one of those classics that never gets old, I can literally watch this movie and laugh like it's my first time.. It will definitely not be the same without Pops though or Debo. May they rest in heavenly peace 🙏🏽🙏🏽🤍🤍🕊But I thank Icecube for staying true to himself and giving us memories that will last a lifetime

Sorry but the executives are right. The Friday Storyline got more and more about making fun of jail in every installment. In the 2nd one, a former inmate was in love with a pimp, and in the last one, 2 escaped prisoners were roaming the city in orange jumpsuits without being caught 😂😂😂😂😂. Now he wants to make another movie about jail AGAIN……The EXECTS saw that disaster the last 2 installments… SECONDLY, Smokey was a huge success in the first one. Can’t mention him without having him in the movie. Both of those scripts are trash.

As much as I like the Friday franchise, the irony of Ice Cube being stonewalled by gatekeepers isn't lost on me. It's too bad because his idea seems like a really memorable movie. It's just all really too bad.

Black people should rely on dedicated and hard-working individuals who have spent time researching the Black community's experience to educate them about themselves. White people should not attempt to educate Black people on their own. Everyone should support Cube's vision for Friday, and no executive or White person should tell Black people what to do. It is essential to help African American studies and ensure that it remains as it is.

I love Ice Cube's movies!!! He makes movies for the culture showing all facets of the black experience...I wish people who do not share in an experience would just STAY IN THEIR LANE!! If you can't relate it's OKAY! I can't relate to being in another world but I'm a huge Star Wars geek, I can't relate to flying a Super Hornet but I adored Top Gun Maverick. Every form of entertainment has to entertain their audience & if you're not their audience it's OKAY. Blocking someone's artistic freedom is never okay

As someone who is now involved with the movie industry, I can attest that this is accurate. So many people read your script and try to tell you how you should be communicating. This is why we really need more independent black studios. I wish we had about three more Tyler Perrys. We could just run our projects through major black studios.

Hear me out...since they're bringing back "Freaky Friday" and "Friday the 13th", we need another "Friday" with who's still around. There's barely enough comedy today. Have a 4th one be in memory of the cast members we lost. The concept of the second script could work for this day and age. Make a multiverse movie: Call it "Freaky Friday After The 13th". All three franchises come together, if Disney and whoever owns Jason Universe and Cube Vision collaborate after Warner Brothers turn the rights over to him. Logline: Two characters switch bodies after smoking a rare strain of weed from the woods while Jason is on a killing spree all through LA. With Ice Cube, Chris Tucker, Mike Epps, Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Don 'DC' Curry, Terry Crews, Katt Williams, Rickey Smiley, Michael Blackson, Nia Long, Clifton Powell, Jacob Vargas, Anna Maria Horsford, Affion Crockett, Lil Rel Howrey, Regina King, Jodie Foster, Ms. Pat, O'Shea Jackson Jr, DC Young Fly, Paige Kennedy, Wanda Sykes, and Ari Lehman as Jason.

The first script would have been #4 around Christmas 2013 or Summer 2014, or even Spring 2015. The second script would have been #5 around 2018 or 2019. The first script of "Last Friday" should have just been greenlit, given the fact that HAROLD AND KUMAR (New Line Cinema characters, stoners) WENT TO JAIL IN 2008. If it got greenlit around the holiday season of 2012, right after the script got turned in, pre-production/casting would have ran from that era through April 2013 (If we we were lucky, March), filming would have been going from May-July 2013 (if we were lucky April-May), the release date would have been the middle of 2014 (if we were lucky, December 2013 like it was rumored). That movie's release would have been so freaking big that New Line Cinema would beg Ice Cube to write another one and call it "Friday After Last". Matter of fact, Ice Cube said in 2007 that he was trying to convince New Line that they got to get that film going. And they had a concept. But according to Cube, New Line had "Lord of the Ring money on their brains". New Line lost money towards the end of that year and ended up being bought by WB. Had they got the fourth Friday going back then, for a 2007 release, and if it wasn't for that embarrassing animated series that was around for like 2 seconds, we would have been at "Friday After The 13th" by now, they would have been coming out with a new movie every other year.

Straddling lanes don't work. Cube in kahoots with Bannon, Tucker, get them to support him. Never again will I watch another Ice Cube movie
