First, this song is the true definition of a classic. Minimum top ten hip hop tracks ever, but in my top five of all time. Don’t think many would argue about it being in the conversation of best hip hop tracks in history. Did anyone honestly know what Cube meant by “backdoor Lil Joe” without hitting up google? I’ve been a die hard hip hop fan for 30+ years and never heard it in anyway before or this song dropped. I’ve listened to this song countless times and never knew what “backdoor little Joe” meant. I love artists back in thier early days, like in this video, when could of just as well been a biography, or docu film. Back before they knew how to act, back before the fame, back when they just kept it real, for that's all they knew. This is when I like and appreciate artist the most, but then inevitably they always end up drifting away from their original selves. Some return, some don't...just depends. I think Cube redeemed himself to me with that song 'no hater', with 'To Short'.

Dude. Seeing Straight Outta Compton with my Chinese girlfriend and my Mexican friend was 100% an experience I’d recommend I guess? People were surprised to see us, but I have to say it was a good day. Great film, check it out if you haven’t!
