"You see, before he came down here, it never snowed. And afterwards, it did. If he weren't up there now... I don't think it would be snowing. Sometimes you can still catch me dancing in it." Tears. This is beautiful.
Kim: It must have been awful when they told you whose house it was... Edward: I knew it was Jim's house. Kim: ...Then why'd you do it? Edward: Because you asked me to. *F* 💔
I remember watching this movie for the first time and falling in love with their love. I remember effortlessly engulfing myself into their story. Being forced to want all of the happiness in the world for them. This song brought back all of that: all of the nostalgia, passion, and sorrow. Thank you.
I still cry to this movie, this song, the whole concept of Edward never aging and never dying but still left all alone in that huge mansion on the mountaintop. Forever. While the only people who truly loved him for himself are down there, aging up and dying. He probably doesn’t even fully grasp the idea of death by old age yet, despite his creator dying that way. No one fully explained it. But still, he’s up there, creating his sculptures of what he remembers from his time in the real world. Presumed dead by most who don’t know the true story. Welp, I just made myself cry a bucketload-
I have watched this movie over and over again! This is probably the darkest love story of all times. Thanks for watching. Hope you like my frozen piano ❄️ 🎹 🌬
Omg same I just watched it the other day for the first time since I never got the chance and I got emotionally attached to Edward and I’m still suffering what happened
Same thing here. I just rewatched it this week after a long time, last time i watched it i was probably like 11-12 and i remember really liking it. Now im 17 and had forgotten how incredibly sad the ending was:( every time i think about it i get a little sad and i cant hear this song without breaking down , its so beautiful and sad my chest hurst a little i can't explain it
I agree. Tim Burton is definately not the best director and sometimes he gets very repetitive. But that's ok. He is an artist foremost in my mind and if a person is able to convey this emotion, its special. Like the love of jack and Sally. The fun of beetlejuice. The heartache of Sparky.
@@renartistah7630 Hopefully he can make a comeback with Danny Elfman on the Batman Beyond movie. It's basically gonna be his proper ending to his Batman Trilogy.
Edward scissorhands was one of the best movies I've seen from Tim Burton it was very emotional when it came to everything in the movie I tried to not cry everytime I watched it,but I failed to do so 😳😂 the music compared to the movie made it feel like love can be found by anyone with a true heart of love... When i get to the snow one day,I will be thinking of edward...😭
What you create is more than a cover...the visual effects and everything, makes it an experience! You are the best piano coverist? coverer? coversician? on RU-vid right now :)
This cover had inspired me to write and draw again; I hadn't done it since I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. This cover brings me such calm and peace, really thank you for this masterpiece
I want to learn to play this song.Edward Scissor Hands is the most unforgettable film I have ever watched! My friends think I’m a cold man.But I cried when I watched that film, especially the time I listen to this song.Danny Elfman is really a great musician!I admire him very much.
When I was fourteen, back in 2001, my family went to America and took a road trip up the west coast from Arizona to San Francisco. We bought two CDs in a record shop in Scottsdale, and the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack was mine. I will never, ever forget the feeling of watching the sun come up in the Arizona desert, to this music.
The music is frozen in time making it amazing forever. I would rather listen to this version than Danny Elfman's any day of the week. The movie was equally emotional for anyone like Edward, isolated and unsure how they will fit into society.
When I was engaged a couple years ago, I was going to use this version to walk down the aisle of my Halloween/Tim Burton wedding. Might still use it if I ever get engaged again and married. 🥰
Genius piece. Beautifuly haunting and tragic love melody that reminds us that true love is sometimes lost to us forever but will always remain in our hearts for the rest of our days.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I learned to play it. Maybe I'm not so good yet in playing it, but I feel it. I feel it in my heart every time I play it. And when I hear it, I think of those beautiful moments in life, of true love and it is the time when whole world stops, and there is only this song. Art. Masterpiece.
I just wanted to say thank you for your work this has been a bad year with difficult an loss of friends an family your covers have helped me reminding me of childhood memories of good times with family thank you again
Little girl: "You can still go". Old Kim: "oh sweetheart I'm an old woman I rather have him remember me the way I was" That moment destroyed me out of nowhere if I would do that to my boyfriend I would do the same what Kim did to Edward to protect him from the world
takes me back to my childhood. to a time when i lived in a make believe world. i wish we didn't have to grow up and have to face this terrible world. edward scissorhands was my childhood. i watched it all the time. i absolutely loved it. and will always love it. especially the music.
That sensation of overwhelming emotions of sadness, happiness, and nostalgia all at once. Goosebumps. This song has always resonated deep within my being right to the core of my soul. You did an amazing job covering such a masterpiece. This film and song will always hold a special place tucked safely in my heart. I imagine this is what emotions from our soul would sound like...
The Wild Conductor you're very welcome! :) Thank you for sharing your incredible talent. And if you ever get a chance, I think Once upon a December and Bella's Lullaby would be two wonderful additions to your collection of amazing piano songs.
Thank you, with deepest gratitude for providing your sheet music, gratis. That is incredibly generous. Best to you and I wish you continued success in your art!
Emi McC I messed around with a keyboard for pretty much my whole life, but I only got serious about taking lessons a couple of years ago. I had my first professional lesson last year at around this time.
I love you so much!!! You're Amazing! I love Tim Burton's movies and their soundtracks, you've done an excelent job, you play all those songs beautifully!
