what mamo build are you currently playing?

I love Mamo, Ice fang gets cancelled out too much in a team fight for me personally for it to be viable at Rayquaza. It’s a shame because Ice fang damage and hindrance far surpasses Ice crash.

I still wish that we could choose any direction for the Ice Fang Throw instead of just Front or Behind. Would make it much more intuitive to use imo

I don't play Exp Share on 5/7/9 Pokémon. Need my moves. Hundreds of games on Mamoswine and I found the best way to play it is as a fighter. My build is Weakness Cookie Weight with Potion and Brown White emblems. Mamoswine increases its defenses, whenever it deals damage, so increasing your HP total gets you the most use out of the insane level of defense you have. All attacks and moves will tickle you at max stacks

Yeah the only problem with earthquake is the super slow start up. If mama didn't pause for so long before jumping it'd be fine. But because of that pause you can't even catch up to someone within range because they walk away faster than the move comes out

I was expecting you to play this build earlier, it was so damn fun lmao. You can delete attacks and the slower All rounders and supports just can't do anything

Everyone thinks the best movesets are Earthquake+Ice Fang and High horsepower+icicle crash But they actually seem intended for the other way around and after the buffs, I think so too Icicle crash earthquake is very good. Icicle crash slowing and stunning makes how slow earthquake is not matter, and it’s very high burst damage Ice fang into high horsepower is just so much single target CC that works well together too

I always play Tanks and I’ve been using Mamoswine since it came out pretty much, I still think Swinub has one of the best early games out of any tank in the game and I honestly wish I could just keep ice shard until the end of the match lmao it’s so good. I run Attack Weight, Focus Band and Muscle Band and play Mamoswine like an All-Rounder more than a Tank, I obviously do everything a tank should do plus more, I just try to bully everyone and everything I can before they call their Zacian or Mewtwo into my lane 😂. Earthquake is really bad, it’s a lot less useful than High-horsepower but I guess the cool down got a buff and all, still prefer the push from High-horsepower, you can push Regieleki away from your goal if you lose that fight and you can push enemies away from their own goal when YOU’RE trying to push with Regieleki.

imo horsepower/icefang works better just cos eq is just so slow. Plus a bit more hit box on ice fang could be useful, or choose which way u can throw. I think that's doable since they were able to do it in cinder's blaze kick way back.

ice fang is my favourite. The opponent suddenly realizes they mest up. Few things could be better.

the buffs for sure help this move set but i feel like with the current crazy melee pokemon meta that is this season with leafeon, mewtwo, and zacian this build would still be pretty good without the buffs.

Earthquake is still pretty bad because of how slow it is, its a shame cuz it would be a great engage, like snorlax's body slam, but at the very least we now have ice fang which is miles better than icicle crash. Yeah, that moves gives Mamo good zoning but thats not what you need most of the time as a defender, what you need most is a great engage and ice fang is just amazing, its harder to approach with than a dash move like body slam, but the reward for hitting is sooo good now, it stuns for a while, does a ton of damage and with high horse power you can isolate key enemies from their team. In my opinion defenders are the most important role in solo q because 85% of the time the result depends on a good engage that makes you win ray fight, and they're also the least picked role lmao, everyone wants to play attackers and all rounders, so i'm always stuck on defender, but at least now there's a lot of good ones. But sadly thats still not good enough to deal with mewtwo that just comes back and casually 1v5 your entire team in the end

I honestly thought mamo changes would make him great but it's still kinda meh, good in teams though, but not with the buffed moveset, pretty disappointing.

Mamo's so good now that i could see it be played in worlds, maybe with her partner in crime A-Nine 👀, Team yt definitely will, that phil/chaotic link up will be so good.

To be honest I would prefer a range buff for earthquake instead of making it faster

Thats so annoying, sometimes when you have number superiority and better secure you just have to go for ray, teammates throw games all the time cuz they get obsessed over killing every singles enemy that gets close and forget they need the objective to win. But the biggest thing was obviously machamp saving unite move for next Christmas.

i like the build, just not the exp share tbh. i don't like the idea of running it on exp hungry defenders. especially while stacking while your lane partner isn't. you don't really get proper use out of it

I dont know what to do when I play Mamoswine. He feels more like an all rounder than a defender, because of his damage output being higher than other defenders. He can't take the damage that other Defenders can, but he cant do the damage that all rounders do either.

I really feel that they should have increased Earthquake's attack speed rather than damage. The problem with the move is how slow it is. Increased damage doesn't matter if they can avoid it easily, which happened multiple times in this match.
