Lincoln beach is tough usually to many people. And the pike in Utah lake are like 1 in 100,000, but your best bet for northerns is Provo harbor through the ice!

If you park in any of the state parks you have to pay the day use fees or have the state park pass. There are a few turn outs you can park in that are free but it is harder to get onto the ice.

I like using a light or medium light typically for my trout when ice fishing. Usually like a 28 to 32 inch rod

Try not to get too comfortable until you locate a good spot for the fish! There are sometimes fish suspended at 8-15' but the rest are closer are closer to the bottom! Don't be afraid to try shower too. My last trip out, we found more fish at around 25 deep of water
