Filet it, skin it, wash the fillets under running water folded in half the long way scrubbing the meat against itself to remove slime and blood, make sure to flip over and fold the other way and clean THEN remove Y bones... MUCH easier! Key is washing pike fillets to get skin slime off them! People who say pike tastes bad are not cleaning them right. I have caught them from deep weeds with slime dripping off them, cleaned this way nobody could tell.

I could feel the cold and wind that would freeze just about anyone down to their bones. lol Question--If you could compare the taste of a Pike to another fish that we tend to eat like catfish, flounder, or any other fish what would you say that it would compare to.
