Ice Fishing GIANT CRAPPIES On a SUNNY DAY In SOUTH DAKOTA!!! (SLAB LIMITS!!) 

Great job as always!! Those were some really nice crappie!! I loved going fishing with my Dad back in the early to mid 70's every Saturday morning for brim/bream(depending on where you're from!lol!!) & crappie. We'd always catch our limit of crappie & at least one if not more icechests full of brim!! We didn't keep any fish that were to small to filet. We had a couple of spots on Lake Palestine in E. Tx. that were absolutely amazing every Sat. spring & summer from dawn to noon. It was soooo much fun!! The majority of the time your your bait (crickets for brim, minnows for crappie) would only be in the water for a few seconds before, if you're using a cork(the tall skinny fluorescent yellow and white with orange tips) it would instantly go down & the fun little fight was on!!!😂😂 It was a total blast as a kid!! You never had time to get bored!! I can't remember how many times we'd catch so many brim we'd give a lot away to people fishing on the banks near the bridges that were not having very productive days!! That is as far as catching fish goes!!😂😂 Thanks for triggering some truly awesome & wonderful memories with my Dad out fishing!! I know it sounds hard to believe & just another one of those fish stories, but I promise there was no exaggeration!! Thanks again!!

Given you abit of advice on spearing for pike you have to jerk that decoy around for like 30 seconds to a minute let it sit for 5 minutes repeat you should see more fish pike like action i have been spearing pike for 35 years in Minnesota also pike love red and white decoy red head white body decoy

Can I make a suggestion, change out the yellow rope on the spear to something gray or black or something that matches the background.. That yellow can really stand out when you are moving your spear.

You need some taller chairs for dark house sitting. Tough on your back sitting so low, especially your lovely lady.

I've never iced fished. WIld. I guess the schools of fish move around. I figured they'd be kinda locked onto bottom structrure. One upside is that you don't need a cooler for fish or beer. Waterproof gloves gotta be key for digging slush out of the holes. I'll stay in the Lower 50 thank you but looks fun.

I quit ice fishing that spot because it's always so busy. I've got a summer place on Thompson. Do a lot of fishing out of the boat.

I never see you work the decoy, it helps bring in the pike if you work it up and down a little bit. And don’t be afraid to put a shiny spinner blade above the decoy. Those pike like to investigate everything.
