I've been watching this man for a few years now (on both channels) and I can honestly say that this man and his work ethic alone testifies to his worthiness to lead (not taking anything from his wife for sure) and having a family. He must have been a beast in his chosen profession prior to this part of his life. Yeah, nobody is perfect, but he has a pretty solid foundation that testifies to his diligence towards intentionally living a life that sets a pretty good example for the next generation. Granted the next generation may not want to live as he does but the work ethic and determination alone is well worth mimicking in whatever profession one chooses. It is quite refreshing to see this considering the state of this world.

We never had a hut with a stove, or a fish TV when I used to go ice fishing with my father. That's so luxurious! If we had those things back in the day I might have actually enjoyed it! LOL

I remember those days. We did not have a shanty, we used to park the cars around us and our hand warmer was a coffee can with a roll of toilet paper soaked in lighter fluid. These were great times when my dad and other families would spend a day on the ice fishing. Hot cocoa and a stew on the grill. Brings back memories.

Yellow Perch, my favorite fish of all. Started fishing for Perch with my Grandpa then my uncle when I was about 4 yrs. old, both had cottages on Lake Erie and at that time you could put stringers on and come up with 5 or six at a time. When I come back to the states to visit family and friends it's the Perch fishing I really enjoy, and the eating of course!
