Is this Matterhorn ride manufactured by the same company that made the old one that was there. The one that was previously there was the fastest Matterhorn I have ever ridden.
David Silipigni no it's not.the old Matterhorn was build by SDC which sadly went out of business in the late 80's. This new ride was built by Bertazzon. But it dose operate on the same plot as the old Matterhorn
They claim this is like the Himalaya. From Salisbury. Beach. Trust me it’s not anything like it. I know I rode it for 25 yrs. it’s not the same and this ride is not going even as fast as it did as the Matterhorn. What is different
It's a completely different new ride. It's basically the same type of ride but it's a different manufacturer and it has more safety features. This ride has it's downsides but it's still a better ride then the similar rides at Six Flags New England and Funtown Splashtown USA. On par with the one at Palace Playland. But it's a big ride with high capacity and I'm sure people will still line up for it.
