I’d say this is easily one of the more creative Casper cartoons. There’s no villain to stop, he only scares off folks ONCE, and the short almost makes Casper out to be kinda creepy. He accidentally knocks this kid out, then literally puppets his lifeless comatose body to win the contest.
The only titles missing are the Paramount titles. But not sure which ones, the mid 50's one, or the abstract one that debut in 1957 (the same year this cartoon came out).
This cartoon was also shown on the “Harveytoon Show” back in the late 1990’s, and on “Casper and Friends” in the early 1990’s with a horribly bad redubbed version with the original opening and closing titles removed. I remember when I first saw it on TV as a youngster, it was terrible when it was redubbed. The music was bad, and the voice acting was bad.
